Overall Rating
We camped there at the beginning of the week. As we drove along the road to the campground we saw a sign mentioning there might be harmful bacteria in the water. We researched it and discovered there was a HCB bloom on the lake. We decided to move on.

This campground was absolutely perfect, private and so scenic! I kept asking myself why it wasn't filled up with campers (but was secretly glad about that!). Ocean Lake is a big, beautiful lake and was a gorgeous turquoise color. We were here in mid-May so not sure if it gets green in the summer but it was perfect for our stay. I am in love with this area in Wyoming and will definitely be back!

Washboard roads to get here but boy is is worth it & beautiful! Some local people were swimming in the lake down farther than us. There were a few places to stay around this lake. Gorgeous!

We stayed in the first camp site. It has trees and good shade. Further up the road are more sites that are on the water. With little covers over the picnic tables. Ten or more. No shade. We stayed in the first camp site. It has trees and good shade. Further up the road are more sites that are on the water. With little covers over the picnic tables. Ten or more. No shade. The roads were very wash board. But once there it was worth it. Lots of mosquitos. Horses, I didn't see any other wildlife. Lots of birds and in morning and at night the croaking of the frogs was a treat.

| Site Number: | Vogel, the first spot, at the entrance of Ocean Lake dispersed camping. We drove up to the other sites,, Lindholm is a good one, and long point. |
Overall Rating
the place is beautiful but the washboarding was so hard to drive that I was only going less than 5 miles . It is beautiful once there. Mosquito were bad. Hearing the frogs croak was great but saw no other wild life. There was a heard of horses. We stayed in the first spot we got to. The roads are or were bad when we were there.
