Terrible place to stay in August the mosquitoes were terrible. No one here though. Had the place to myself.
The road was so washboard I wouldn’t come here again.

We couldn't stay here. Over run with locals. Felt really creepy
Maybe we hit it on a bad day.
Lots of area for RV's for sure.
The access road was fine.

This was really our first time camping at a dispersed site and we absolutely love it! We travel in a 40’ motorhome towing a truck and I was leary about driving down an unknown dirt road, but I was so glad that we did. We drove all the way to the end and there were several shelters with picnic tables and bbqs at each spot. There was only one other trailer camping close by and another family fishing for the day. It was very quite and peaceful. We were disappointed that we only had one night available to stay here. If we’re ever back in the area we will be sure to stop here again.

Stayed only one nite but wish it could of been more! This is truly a hidden gem.
A lot of places good roads no noise beautiful lake. If you go take the road all the way back to the island there was almost no one there. We felt very safe.
Kevin would stay here again

Stayed 7/7/19. A clean spot with pit toilets right at the entrance. Road from the west was a nice, flat dirt road about 2 miles long off pavement. I didn't have any problem with my touring motorcycle. There's room for 3 to 5 occupants right at the entrance. The WHMA goes on around the lake and there appear to be more spots available there but I didn't want to risk it with my motorcycle. Some shade available depending on where you plant your equipment. Unmowed tall grass throughout. Some wet areas were hidden by grass so inspect first. Traffic going deeper into the area was surprising...about 40 cars over the 18 hours I was there. Other than nonstop mooing cows, it was pretty quiet. Heard sandhill cranes, snipe, and tons of other birds.
