Simple no frills, clean, camp with individual use areas having table and covered awning. Some weeds along the perimeter. It looked as if it was recently scrapped as there were few plants in the drive and picnic areas.

Clean, maintained with a sheltered picnic table and bbq grill. There are 14 of these, a few more, not as nice, but away from these 14, and also a big open area. Gas and restaurants are nearby. Best of all, it’s free. Thanks to those who posted and reviewed this place.

If you just want to park rest eat sleep and get on your way this place is perfect. Right off the highway. Four hours from Phoenix. A table, a grill, a water spout. Shade if you need it.
No complaints at all.

We Are A 42 Ft Fifth Wheel Pulled By A Semi. Easy In And Out. We stayed to see the solar eclipse.
Town has the necessary stores and friendly people.
We would stay again if we are back this way. Weather in early April was great.

We arrived mid afternoon from Tucson. The camp grounds were nearly empty. Found the National Scenic Continental Divide Trail about half mile south and took a short hike.

Thank you veterans and the town of Lordsburg.

Nice, quiet spot to boondock. Little tricky to get in but room enough for large RVs. We’re 38’ foot class A towing and no issues. Spent 1 night only, very appreciated to the city and thank you to ALL veterans for giving so much.

When we were there it was only about half full with room for at least a dozen more rigs. It was raining while we were there but you can park on gravel instead of dirt in some spaces. Very big thank you to Lordsburg for maintaining this park!

There are dumpsters throughout, and the place is pretty clean, except for broken glass. We are impressed that the city maintains this site and charges $0 for travelers to stop. We plan to try one of the restaurants in town for dinner and check out the Shakespeare Ghosttown. Don’t worry about the arch that is debated in several of the reviews because there are 2 driveways to enter. If you are worried you. Igor be too tall, simply use the second road in and avoid the arch. Great stop, thanks Lordsburg!

We drove here from Las Cruces to stay the night. There is a clear unobstructed view of the park from the road and it looks great. Covered picnic tables with BBQ grills and lots of room to park. Big rig friendly. There was a nice big gravel area with plenty of room outside the park for us to stay the night. There is also a KOA about a block away. There was another rv parked outside the park. I would definitely want to come back and stay inside the park. There is nothing posted to say when it will be opening again. The nice video that was posted clearly shows exactly what to expect.

I called to verify the park was open to the Lordsburg Visitor center. Greeted by a Hello rather than Visitor Center I was able to verify that the park was open as I was concerned due to Coronavirus restrictions and traveled to Lordsburg. What I found was an overgrown campground with the inability to even sit at the tables. This facility should be closed until it can be properly maintained as it shows more of a lack of respect than the original intentions. The posted sign allowed for day use only but even 10 minutes was too long. Under different circumstances it would be a good overnight as long as you had your own bathroom facilities as nine when available. Disappointing as I called to ensure and was treated as if asking if it were open was a stupid question only to find a closure and overgrowth.

Stopped by 4-17-20 on the way to TX for the night. The park is closed with yellow caution tape. I assume its because of the covid thing but wanted to give folks a heads up if they plan on coming here for the night, it is in face closed. We drove down the street and paid 40 bucks at the KOA because we had to.
