I have stayed here several times overnight over the years. This was one of my first parking/camping experiences in a rest area. I forget just what seasons I've been here before but early April in 2023 is just bad. I pulled in just after lunchtime and fortunately got last of the 10 or so spots right on the outside so my view was to the north east seeing the I 10 and railroad traffic. Sure as feces, not two minutes after shutting off the engine a pick up truck pulls up right next to me with a 20+ foot trailer where there is not a bona fide parking spot. I told him he was in a fire zone. He stayed anyway but did leave 20 minutes later. This place has been packed all day, I am hoping towards dusk it will thin out a bit. Right next to me is a truck hauling pipe. All afternoon his truck has been running an engine, air conditioner, generator... I hope sincerely that they leave soon or turn off the racket. It's never been this busy before. I will never come back. Let's leave it for the truckers, we lost that battle, the truckers make the place unpleasant.

This visitor center is a great place to stay for a night. Friendly staff and all the information you need. Close to the main town to get the late dinner. Plenty of places to park. 24 Hour parking, Clean surroundings, but freeway noise.

We pulled our trailer in about midnight and there were spaces available. It was located off the highway and up above it. Rest stops are typically noisy but this one was relatively quiet. The restroom was heated which was welcome on a chilly March morning.

It is a rest area along I-10. We were parked with the semi trucks. Their refrigerated trucks are noisy running all night. But it was a free place to park.

This is a truckers rest stop. The inside visitor Center was closed. No brochures or maps available on the outside. No Wi-Fi was available. Restrooms were clean and heated. Saw Security when we arrived. Trains ran all night long.

Of course traffic on I-10 can be heard but that doesn't bother me. Nor do any big trucks coming in for some rest. Hey, it's a rest stop! Only 1 truck pulled in when I was there. For a more peaceful area the town has a Veteran's/Memorial Park just outside of town that will accommodate large rigs. No bathrooms but has covered tables and fire pits. Also free.
