Most of the park is closed so what is open is almost full. Lots of down trees, the farther parking area is full of potholes. Note this is on the west side of the highway, follow the signs from the exit - google routed me to a sign on the east side of the highway!

The park recently changed to using same-day reservations. It doesn't look like you can drop cash in the iron ranger anymore, and instead need to make reservations on the website or by calling a phone number. There also seems to be an increase in the number of full-time residents in the park, and they have added codes to some bathrooms because of an increase of non-camper use. We didn't have any problems but I suspect it's something the rangers have to keep a close eye on.

In California and most western states, it is one rate no matter what state you’re from. There is also no discount for seniors. In other states, they usually except America the beautiful pass or at least give you a slight discount. The campground is right off of the I-5 south freeway and you can definitely hear the traffic noise. Showers are free, that is a plus. I just needed a place to stop for the night, but this will not be a place that I will come to again.

“Spacious, quiet”

We stayed here in the spring and loved having lots of space and the beautiful surroundings! The only complaint was after walking our dogs to/from/down the Greenway, we brought back several ticks each time. We never saw any in the campground though.

Restrooms were clean but showers were open from 7am to 5pm. This may be seasonal hours for early March A loop was closed and B and C loop was open. There is a fee discount for state residents.

Nice campground between the bustling Interstate 5 and the mighty Rogue River. Some spots offer delightful views of the river while some spots offer the finest offering of vehicle sounds. Be sure to pick a spot wisely. Park overall is nice and has very easy parking for RVs or tent camping.

Spent four days here in August. It was in the upper 90’s and we took advantage of the trail along the river to walk the dogs and take a dip in the river. I loved the convenient location right off the interstate, the toad noise was minimal. I would definitely stay here for a day or two on our next trip north.

We stayed in Loop F in site F26. We didn’t have reservations, but there were ample FCFS spots available. Sites in this loop are large and well spaced. No leveling was required and we had water/electric hookups.
It is right along the freeway so there was plenty of road noise during the day. I’m a very light sleeper and had no issue with it at night even with the windows open.
Bonus for us were the dirt and paved trails along the river so we could tire out the dogs.

Full hookups worked well, bathrooms were adequate. Sites are paved and large enough for an RV and car. No insects at all.
There is a 7 mile out and back trail, mostly paved right next to the river, accessible from the campground.
Medford is about 25 minutes away. Grant's Pass has restaurants and groceries and is about 10 minutes north on I-5.
AT&T cell coverage was OK, our iPhone got good reception, Android much less. Cellular internet worked well with our Pepwave. No problem streaming with the iPhone or computer. Several local HDTV stations came in.
