Mid February and not full of campers. I'm on the south side of Dome Mtn. I wanted to be away from the interstate. Established fire pits. Lots of space.
Y'all have to check in and get sticker...no charges. LTVA areas in Quartzsite you pay 40$...

Easy to get to but road into is massive rocks. Not grated but dumped there and spread. Very difficult for me to navigate walking, twisted ankle. Other than my clumsiness the site is beautiful ruggedness. ATVers and the like would love it.

"Just what i needed!"
This area is easy to get to as usual for back roads the so called Paved road was very rough. Just go slow. I have a 32ft class C and things were banging around.
Had great weather and beautiful sunrises and sunsets.
