I called to make reservations for a week in March 2022. I was told that they are only doing long-term reservations. :(

Did not use the bathrooms, but the laundry was clean.
Only downfall is the highway noise.

We had a quiet night. The camp is clean and neat. 30 amp site with full hookup, pets allowed, plenty of room for our Class A 40 foot and tow car. Common areas were closed due to Covid, but deli market and fuel pumps were open.

Truckee River RV Resort offers gas (87 and Diesel only), fantastic deli and gourmet groceries, gas fire pit rentals, super friendly service for their RV and Travel Trailer style camping only. Smaller with less than 50 sites but mostly flat spots. Great for quick and easy access to the Truckee River for fishing. Showers and bathroom could be updated (travel size shampoo bottle as a shower head was interesting) but all in all very clean and friendly folks running the joint!

This campground is older but has many amenities. The store is well stocked plus they make fresh deli sandwiches. There is propane available for refilling tanks plus a gas station as you pull out of the property. Very close to downtown Truckee which is a great day trip with shops and many good restaurants. Convenient to Lake Tahoe and a beautiful reservoir to visit plus the river across the road.
There is road noise as it’s right off the freeway but it never bothers us as we are gone exploring most days and at night we use a white noise machine so we never hear it.
Beautiful trees at every site and fairly private in between. Full hookups that worked well . Our only disappointment was the laundry room as the machines looked very old and the room was very narrow and dark.

I enjoy this location because it is close to Truckee but out of the grind. If you like to be in the thick of it, it's a short car ride away from the center of town. The management is great, super friendly and there is a store onsite for things forgotten.
The one thing that could annoy some is the sound of the highway but I didn't find it bothersome.
Overall great, clean, friendly place.
