Sites are not numbered, picnic tables and fire rings. Very peaceful and quiet the only draw back is the 9 mile dirt road which took 55 minutes to drive pulling a 22ft rv, wouldn't try if it has rained recently. No water or bathroom available

With our tow vehicle, we come in at 45,000 pounds, a total of 55' long and 13'6 tall. we made it with ease. Some narrow looking cattle guards but they are at least 12' wide.
Park host was named Chester and we only saw him once, very nice guy with no issues at all. we stayed RIGHT on the water, and all I can say is "2 words" "Alli-Gators", lot's of them but not any trouble with them either...we had a few making the most awesome/gruesome growling noises at night. Fishing was poor at best...Probably the time of year I would think. Caughta perch and a 4' gar, my beautiful wife on the other hand did catch a nice large mouth bass which was delish.
We had many pictures to share and a video of the road coming in, they seem to have disappeared...Take our word for it though, wonderful, peaceful and quite remote...we would definitely stay here again...
Adrienne and Kenny :)

It’s a smooth sand/dirt road for several miles of scrub, interspersed with copses of live oak, and you’ll pass through several open gates. The signs say 25 MPH speed limit, but good luck attaining that with a camper.
The last several miles of road are like driving over a washboard, interspersed with sandy washouts, but if you persist it will eventually get better.
The actual campsite is worth the work. It’s a very large open area with tree shade all around and a ton of spots to choose from, none marked. There’s even some places by the river, if they aren’t taken (they seem to fill up first).
No hookups or water anywhere close, so dump/fill up & stock up before you go. It’s a 45+ minute drive to get to civilization again.
I had poor reception with Verizon & AT&T, so if you need Internet this may not be the right place for you. You can get access again a few miles back up the dirt road. Otherwise, it’s spotty at best.
Awesome spot to ride a bike on dirt/sand for miles uninterrupted! Low traffic, and trails for hiking & biking relatively close. I had a nice spot with shade over most of my camper and full sun access for the solar panels 8+ hours a day.

REAL remote destination.
Immedately on both Kissimmee river (not the canal) and the Florida Trail.
No facilities whatever other than some tables and fire rings. Can draw non-potable water from river but beware BIG gators.
Various shade and open spots available.
Very quiet with occasional boater on river.
Access NOT easy. At and of 8 mile (dusty) dirt road. Saw mid size travel trailer and class C on arrival. Others in tents. Would not try in a class A but probably doable.

There is an 8 mile drive in over washboarded roads, but over head clearance wasn’t an issue for a 12 foot rig. Some turns are tight and narrow sections, so I wouldn’t recommend large trailers.
