The only complaints I have is that there are no firepits... which kind of puts a damper on the camping experience, and the sites are kind of packed in tight. However, I understand it's more of a "resort" type park and that should be expected. All this is quickly forgotten when you step out onto that beautiful beach! Which, by the way, you can take a tram to (if you don't want to walk or ride your bike).
We thoroughly enjoyed our time there, our son and his family visited for the day, they rented bikes and we rode around all day.

Read reviews that this place was amazing but hard to get into so by chance I called for a reservation over the phone while driving from Louisiana and was shocked that I was able to get 4 nights! When we got here we were greeted by super friendly staff who gave us Site 152 a pull-thru! A fantastic site to watch the sunrise every morning from your back window! This park is truly spectacular in every way! Very clean and all buildings well maintained! Amenities galore! And the cherry on top are the beautiful white sandy beaches and clear blue/green water that you can walk/bike to or take the Tram! This is Resort-Style living for the great price of less than $60! I hope we get to come back again! Job well done Florida State Parks!!!

The plants and trees around each site made it feel private. Short mile walk to the beach, or trams each hour. The beach was nice, but water was frigid in November. Our kids got in, but I wouldn’t go past my feet. We are from the Midwest, so I was hoping we would be able to handle the temperature - did not happen! We didn’t use the bathhouses or facilities, but they do have laundry, bathhouses, a coffee/pastry shop and it looked like bike rentals. Our only complaint is that we didn’t have more nights to explore this beautiful park!

There are some other sites where you are closer to neighbors on all sides and back. Also site 37 was much more private with natural privacy, also backed up to the pond. We hiked the deer track trail which was much longer than we expected from our campsite it was over 6 miles. Plus a large part of it was in sand making it more strenuous. The tram is very helpful and useful for getting to the beach. The park store is also part of a private owned coffee and beverage shop, nice to have on the grounds. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend our site and the park.

We stayed here for 3 nights in early May, 2023 - price is an average over our stay. We were in the Weeping Willow Loop - kind of tight with trees and the site to the backside of our trailer was super close. I was just happy to get a site here! If we were to come again, I would aim for a site in the Pampass Loop - those were really nice. I did not care for the sites along Pampass Grass Blvd - the lower number sites - no privacy or foliage. But, you come here for the beach! Great tram service to get you there if you don't have a bike or it's too hot to walk. This was a nice park to walk our dog - lots of loops & nice out by the bungalows and cabins. Those would be super cool for a family to rent!
The beach is stunning! And a pool! I actually had the pool to myself one afternoon. Nice gift shop & coffee / beer cafe. Had live music one night on the patio!
All in all a really nice stay - pricey for non-Floridians, but the beach - wow.

Would like to come back and stay a our site 136 was a pull thru but we had to go thru twice as there’s a tree the slide would hit of not positioned properly so beware! Trees around each site of our loop, lovely park! A few cable channels came without using a cord, plenty of cell service on Verizon.

Walk, bike, or ride the shuttle to the beach. The beach is just amazing, white sand, clear shallow water.
There are a lot of nice sandy trails to walk throughout the Park, through pine forests.
There is always a low hum of traffic from the highway which isn't too far away. This Park is sort of an oasis close to a highly populated area.
Shopping, dining out, and touristy stuff is close by. We drove to Destin twice to dine out. Prices are high due to so much tourism, but that's expected.
We will definitely be back.
