What an amazing park! There are 4 RV loops, a tent loop, and cabins/bungalows for non-mobile friends. This state park was originally a resort in Santa Rosa Beach, and when the state park system took it over, they left the amenities, including full hook ups, pool, shuffleboard, huge, laundry room, paved, walking trails to the dunes, and heated/cooled bathhouses. We stayed in loop 103 which is the largest and furthest from the main entrance. At $45 a night you pay more than a typical state park but the FHU and spotless grounds make up for it. Fire pits/grills are not provided but you can bring portable ones. Most sites in have vegetation between them with the exception of the uppermost loop 100 which is on the entrance road. There are (literally) miles of paved walking paths which are closed to cars so wonderful for bikes and pedestrians. A tram shuttle runs every hour to the park beach and a coastal lake, both with restrooms and water fountains. Lots of bike racks to store your bike while you explore. Even has an on-site coffee shop on the camp store! Just outside the park there is 14 mile paved walking/bike path that runs along the coastal road through villages and towns with plenty of places to eat and shop. Reservations are hard to come by, but keep checking back and snag a cancellation!

They have cut down all of the trees behind this park. It used to be sites around 125 were the best. That is no longer the case. At the time of this writing, there is heavy construction going on all day long. Soon they will either be a commercial area, apartments, condos and homes built here. These are no longer good sites. Also, anything around the coffee shop before the actual campground entrance has zero privacy. I think those are 1-10. Topsail is more of an “RV Park” as it’s name implies. You have to be very careful in picking out spots. Some are great with vegetation on either side, some are just driveway next to driveway next to driveway. The shuttle runs every hour to the beach. There are lots of walking trails and it is close to a grocery store and the Grand mall (nice, fairly upscale). WARNING about traffic. The road is a major thoroughfare to the beach and there is also a school. Getting out to turn left toward 98 when school lets out or beach time is over is a nightmare.

There are a few different loops in the campground, we stayed in 103. Mostly concrete sites, a few are crushed stone. All are semi private with dense vegetation throughout the loop 103 area. Other loops are nice but sites are more open.
Utilities are all good, water pressure was decent. Cable is provided, I think there was 100 channels give or take. Did not try OTA TV. Power was good, no voltage sag. Both Verizon and AT&T were fast enough to stream.
The beach is the star here. Because the beach is about a mile from the campground and day use area its not crowded. There is a shuttle from the campground to the beach that runs hourly but if youre spending any amount of time here a bike is the best way to get around. Although the beach is the star there are a number of great trails and dune lakes that are worth checking out. Outside the campground is a bike path that runs the length of 30A all the way through Seaside and down to Rosemary beach. Definitely check out 30A, the food trucks (actually Airstreams) in Seaside are a can’t miss. Going the other way you can go to Destin if you like more developed areas.
The on-site store is run by a concessionaire and is very good. They have a great coffee shop and several draft beers. They host live music on Mondays. They rent bikes also.
There are a ton of work campers and staff here and as a result everything is well maintained and clean. Everyone was super friendly and professional.
Book this campground.

The location of the park is perfect.
We stayed in campsite 163. Full hookup. Ample cable channels with good channel clarity. The camp sites are good size, but the greenery around the campsites is what gives it that feeling of additional privacy. The park was clean and there are plenty of activities to keep you busy. You have your own private beach and a trolley runs every hour to take folks to and from the beach. There is also a trolley that will take folks to one of the dune lakes (really cool). From our campsite to the beach was about 1.1 miles.
There are miles and miles of trials to walk, hike, bike, or run. Whichever you prefer. I enjoy running and just could not get enough of the beautiful trail system.
We were lucky enough to only book a week in advance. The park was absolutely full during our stay.
We also took advantage of a local e-bike rental shop and cruised some of the trails that wife would not have been able to see otherwise.
We will certainly be back!

It is also the road for the tram that runs hourly. As the closes public access to this part of the beach is over 1/4 mile away, it is almost a private beach to the park. We will definitely be coming back for an extended stay when it is warmer. Very convenient to Destin\San Destin and all the shopping and conveniences you could want. Note all the beaches in the area do not allow dogs. There are nice dog parks in Destin and Santa Rosa but no beaches for dogs. Closest is in Panama City.

Roomy sites, beach was clean and not overcrowded. Showers are HOT and clean. Coffee shop on site with rental bikes. Laundry house is nice, (1.50 to wash, 1.50 to dry) Sites 51, 52, and 53 are a bit tight to get into with 44 foot trailer. Higher number sites have wider access roads.

Imo you want to be in the higher numbers as the sites are a little further from each other with lots of foliage separating them. Cement pad so completely level. No fire ring at site 150 but electric and water. Good spot if you are passing through or if you had kids and stayed in the more general area.

This park is beautiful and has tons of walking trails, as well as a beautiful beach. Great bike trails and free transportation to the beach!
The downside (which is an important one to me): the bathroom situation. There is ONE bathhouse for the entire park, and it’s closed from 10:30-12pm daily for cleaning. If you’re on loop 103 it’s pretty easy and convenient to walk there, but not so much if you’re on any other loops. There used to be another bathhouse on the very first loop (near the laundry) that has been boarded up, with no indication that it will be reopened. This park stays full, so if you have multiple people trying to shower each day, you’ll prob want to utilize the public showers and will be best suited to stay close by. We stayed in space 127 and loved the location.
One last item: fire rings are not provided and you’ll need to bring one with you if you would like to have a campfire.
