We stay on the other side of the 95 a little further south of town. It’s much quieter and there’s more privacy if you find the right spot. We have camped here before and will camp here again.

Large turnaround area roughly in line with the cattle guard on 95.
5g signal excellent.
Very quiet
I didn’t go as far down the road as I probably could have because we’d just had massive amounts of rain, but as this is old highway 95 it’s likely a decent road for a ways in normal dry conditions.

I was here in early July so yeah, a little hot. Great place for a night or 2. I pulled my trailer a little farther up the mountain for a more private place and found a flat area. If you need to do laundry you can do so at a laundromat at the casino. Plenty of room for the dogs to run.

Very easy to find of the highway, the turn is just before the BLM Office going North. The area was clean of trash and very quiet considering how close it is to the highway. Plenty of space for the dogs to play as well.

If you're traveling between Reno and Las Vegas, this is a nice place to stop for the night. We found a level location and had plenty of cell service to watch some baseball games.

Loved our stay in Tenopah, what a great little town, complete with the infamous clown motel. This was an awesome boondocking spot, as mentioned it was super clean with beautiful views. Close to town but also an easy stop over if you’re just passing through. There were a few other rigs parked for the night, but ample space to spread out and any size rig will fit. Great cell service. Gas and supplies a walk away.

We went during the week and was a perfect one-night stopover. There is some road noise being so close to the main highway, but nothing to complain about and a beautiful location. We worked from here in AM with no problems, great cell coverage. Definitely stay again if we were passing through.

Our opinion could be off because we saw 3 scorpions shortly after our arrival. Beware if you walk your dogs avoid the first small hill between the camping road and the HWY. We saw one and backed away only to see 2 more. We didn’t see any near the camping road and we walked up the road at least 3/4 of a mile.
On a positive note the sunset was amazing, the other campers were friendly and it’s close to town. And FREE!
