Hadn’t planned on staying here but road construction got in the way so found this place. Very nice, easy in/out, little hwy noise and great view of the lake. Cell ok, no shade, lake access not easy to get to, only $20

Got in a 3+ hour road closure and we were beat. Found this here on Campodium and it’s nice. Right on the water, easy access and a little road travel but very comfortable for a night. Good cell service. No bugs.

We stayed the Thursday night before Labor Day, and there were many available sites! The restrooms are vault toilets but very clean. We had cell service, and the scan & pay through Recreation.gov was easy to use. Definitely recommend!

The majority of the sites are ideal for smaller campers, Tent, vans, if you have a big rig /toy hauler your choices are limited but it's worth the ride in to search, for the views are breathtaking! Gorgeous spot! Quiet strictly boondockin! RV on concrete! Public restroom close by! The majority of the sites are ideal for smaller campers, Tent, vans, if you have a big rig /toy hauler your choices are limited but it's worth the ride in to search, for the views are breathtaking! Be sure to read any posted notices, for example , It provided information/ guidance for the best routes to travel since there's so much road construction check in is easy... pay by cash or check by envelope drop box or through an app., If you're a senior citizen or a veteran your stay is half price. You pick your own spot on arrival. 14 day stay max ... We took a motorcycle ride to the Black Canyon Park. It's a must see.

I stayed here for two nights, and it was very nice and quiet even though the road is not too far away. Every site has a picnic table and a fire pit. Plus the toilets are close by since it is wide open. It was very windy

It is a nice campground on the lake. No hookups but does have water and bathroom. Right off hieay 50. No trees or shade but it was cool. Had a picnic table and fire ring. Sites were nice size so you are not right next to your neighbors.

We pulled in mid afternoon, sites are clean, well spaced and level. Lots of sites lakeside, but no trees, or shade of any kind, you’re out in the open. Our 26 ft Rv fit no problem, prices are very reasonable. Water and bathrooms are available. There definitely was a big rig here so, road is right off 50, paved and easy to maneuver. ... more

Spent 4 nights over 4th of July. Had a wonderful time. Loved parade in Crested Butte and Fireworks in Gunnison. It was a beautiful campground close to lots of experiences. No problem getting a reservation last minute. Beautiful views and lots of space. No hookups, but not hot so no need for air conditioning. Bathrooms and water avail... more

We came in late and did not see the ticketing booth after we chose this site, I figured I would just pay for it in the morning after finding it in the daylight. The camp post arrived and automatically told us that we would be arrested and ticketed if we did not pay. He was rude to me and my family, and he was raising his voice and agg... more
We came in late and did not see the ticketing booth after we chose this site, I figured I would just pay for it in the morning after finding it in the daylight. The camp post arrived and automatically told us that we would be arrested and ticketed if we did not pay. He was rude to me and my family, and he was raising his voice and aggressive manner. I let them know that there is no need to act in that manner and he responded with Pay me within the next 30 minutes and you’re not gonna get a ticket. A completely rude experience that ruined the camping for that time. Because of how we were treated.I will not return to this campground at all because of the experience.
