“Good Stop.”

We were the only camper. Plenty of room. Gravel and grass. Only problem is broken up timber weeds didn’t get along with our dog. I put out a mat and all was good. This is open range so there may be a bit of “fertilizer “ in spots.

It’s a gravel area off a paved road near Eastgate. Quiet, and surrounded by hills and mountains. The sagebrush is very green this season with all the rain and snow melt. This kept down the dust during our stay. For some folks I’ll let you know there is cow poop everywhere and horrible sharp weeds, goat heads perhaps? 2bars of ... more

2bars of 3G service for ATT.
But on the Loneliest Highway this is a fun overnight spot.

Others have reported what I found in May 2022 - open, flat space beside a paved road from Hwy 50. I'll only add that the animal carcass is now just bones and dried hide. I was alone there midweek.

We stayed here in our 35ft motorhome with a tow vehicle. Easy to get in and out. There was lots of weeds with thorns and a large red ant hill! Great site if you avoid the ants and wear shoes.

We pulled off here for the night on our way back West. It's easily accessible on a paved road 3 miles from Hwy 50. The other review is correct, Google maps shows a loop road but this in fact just a large gravel lot. More than enough room for us to turn around with our 27' Airstream. While we were just off the road, there was virtually no traffic and we felt utterly alone in quiet solitude. The ground is mostly level and we had strong signal with both Verizon and AT&T. Is highly recommend for anyone looking for a place to pull over and sleep.

Easy to find with the coordinates on Google Maps. However, the map shows this as a loop and it is not. It has not been maintained and is becoming overgrown by sagebrush and is really nothing more than a gravel patch on the side of the road. That being said, it is about 3 miles off of US 50 on a very quiet, paved road, and it is free.

If you're looking to park out in the middle of nowhere, but still have easy access to a major freeway (50) this is a great spot. We stayed here in a 42" foot class A with a toad - tons and tons of room. No direct trails, but you can wander down the way about 1/3 of a mile to a dirt road. It's relatively pretty, totally graveled, and hot and dry. Good spot.
