Plenty of room to park and the quirky little bar is a great place to eat and drink after a long day's drive. Breakfast the next morning was a bonus.

Honestly, my expectations were super low. But I was pleasantly surprised! We mostly stopped in to be supportive to a business in the middle of nowhere, but the burgers and fries were very good and there were two dudes with guitars playing western music and some jam band stuff which I really enjoyed. The history of the place was fascinating. It seems like a neat little community out in the tumbleweeds.
Yes, there was a large generator in the parking lot, but I’m super sensitive to smells, it ran all night and didn’t bother us with the windows open. So whatever was going wrong with it in the other review has been repaired (also, it’s the middle of nowhere, there’s plenty of free BLM land to camp on nearby if you don’t like what you see – but if you want electricity, running water, a flush toilet, hot food, cold beer, and amenities – which you can indeed find inside, you have to make electricity somehow.)
They do not have a dump station or running water to fill up with, but it’s free to camp here.
And if I’m comparing it to other free parking lot camping options like Walmart, this is hands down better.

We stopped here over the weekend expecting to stay overnight. All of the camping spaces were taken and only the parking lot was available. Which would have been OK, but the gigantic (generator, I guess?) was so loud and, worse, spewing out so many awful fumes that it was impossible for us to stay and we had to go. Even with all of our windows closed the smell was unbearable. A shame. We would have liked to stay and have a meal.

We came through on a Wednesday only a couple RVs and a couple of Semi Trucks. I recommend stopping in the diner for a burger. Plenty of level parking in the dirt lot around the diner/bar and Motel. It was very quiet. We sat out and looked at the stars. Beware there are Coyotes keep your small animals close.

It was pretty quiet as you are off the main highway a little. Only drawback as with any boondock site Is that some nice person had the need to run their generator through the night. We should all be bringing up generator etiquette whenever possible as it is clearly unknown to some.
The restaurant is a great burger joint with a full bar. We enjoyed the food very much.

“Didn't stay - didn't see turn off ”
noted 6/9/2022
I was planning to stop here but I didn't realize it was a bit off the highway and didn't see it. My GPS said I was there but nothing in sight so I moved on. I may have missed a sign but I was looking for it so I doubt it. If headed here, slow down to make the turn off the highway without much warning.
