AND TO TOP THAT THE TIMED LIGHTS SHUT OFF AT 4 minutes so you are in the dark Marina looked nice if you’re a boater

Not much Verizon cell service. Had a great time. Porcupine Mountain Wilderness nearby.

Great park that was redone after the flood. Sites are level with gravel parking pad. Sites have water and electric and there is a dump station on site. Sites are quiet open but it was a quiet campground. Nice harbor at the mouth of Lake Superior as well. Multiple waterfalls nearby.

We were supposed to stay 2 nights at Frontier Bar & Grill down the road, but left there after one night ( didn't care for Frontier).
This CG is very nice, no shade, but the views are fantastic. Beach, bar & grill on site. Marina on site, lots of boaters coming & going. Wish we could have stayed another day or two.

Newly built (re-built) small campground, overlooking Saxon Harbor and Lake Superior. Water and electric hook-ups were great. Very quiet location, especially at night. No cell service (Verizon hotpot or T-Mobile phone). Used provided WiFi - slow, but worked. Disappointed at coin operated showers. Did not expect that at a $36/night partial hook-up campground. Shower only ran for 5 minutes, 2 minutes of which were waiting for warm water to arrive. Was only $1 for that 5 minutes, but I didn’t have any other change - who carries real money anymore - especially change? Would at least suggest posting prominently the charge amount and shower duration, as I was guessing how much I was paying and getting. Other than the slightly irritating shower situation, was a very pleasant stay.

“Great find”

This is a nice spot on Lake Superior, all sites with a lovely view. It is all new and clean, roomy and level sites. It was about 1/2 full, so relatively quiet, no party-era. We stayed on site 10, which has a neighbor on just one side. It is easy to find. I would stay here again. Note there is little to no cell coverage, no WiFi.

Some seasonal campers, local bar/cafe nearby. Remote from town or city shopping. Right on the Wisc./Mich. border on shores of Lake Superior.
