As others have said, it's pretty wide open with few trees. The sights are level enough and they have cement picnic tables and a fire ring. Our sight backed up to Lake Peck and we had a great view of the lake, stars at night a really nice sunrise as well. Owls, ducks and geese could be heard most of the night. Definitely perfect for a one night stay - maybe longer depending on whnat's in the area but we didn't have time for that.

For the price ($0), it was fine. Not a lot of trees and it was HOT when we were there. Keep that in mind.

right on the lake the sites were large and relatively flat.. A lot of local were there with boats. You are down near the Fort Peck area so it a bit off the main Hwy 2 but not bad. You can if going west loop down and come back up to hwy 2 near Glasgow.. its a good drive through the land.
They do have a boat launch area and vault toilet on site that were clean and serviced.
its was quiet at night.. there is some road noise but later it dies to nothing.
overall a nice place to spend the night or a few nights.. there are picnic tables and firepits.

Oy but the BUGS! Sheesh. Bring bug spray and if you want to sit outside, bring a mosquito canopy. Also, it would be a problem to get in and out if the ground was saturated. We saw some deep ruts but we were ok.

This is very easy to access for big rigs. Ten or so sites with picnic tables and fire rings. There was a clean pit toilet and trash receptacle. It is on a small lake below the dam of Lake Fort Peck. The only negative is the road was very muddy and soft after a lot of rain. More gravel was needed.
