Overall Rating

We were staying at the pay campground up the road but wanted to scout out the free campgrounds around Fort Peck.

This area is free with picnic tables and fire rings spread throughout. Some people appeared to park in a single site next to a picnic table while some other looked to be in groups around one campsite area. It seems this is allowed in most of the free camp areas managed by ACE around Fort Peck. More of a designated dispersed layout.

Pit toilets, boat launch and large boat trailer parking area.

Looks like it could get a little muddy if there has been a lot of rain.

Overall Rating

The only area that would be suitable to camp has no camping signs n it.
Dirt ruddy road with really no place to camp. We stayed at Flat Lake instead.
