Rocky Top RV Park

You can't really beat Rocky Top (and it's sister sites that look pretty similar) in Iraan. Not a whole lot of choices in the area anyway. Big level sites with 50 amp and full hookups. They obviously cater to the workers in the oil industry so the hookups all work well. Yeah, there's some noise as residents come and go but it's beats fighting the 95 degree temps down by the I-10 in a rest area or abandoned truck stop. Good signal and speed on Verizon and AT&T too.

Easy to get on and off I-10 without a lot of negatives. What do you want in west Texas?

Nice park with full hook up very reasonable rates. The folks in town are very nice. We only intended to overnight but on the way in our wheel flew off our truck. Thanks to J’ s Service for the repair.

The drawback to this park as well as the other two in the area the spots are almost always taken up by workers. They are reopening the oil wells and getting ready to install a wind farm as well as a solar project. They have people waiting for trailers to pull out then they go to city hall and pay a months rent. It was only a fluke that we snagged a space. I suppose you could dry camp in a pinch.
