They should also get rid of their loud mouthed permanent resident. I agree with what the other reviewer said. First night? Dog whined all night resulting in a bad night of sleep. We were exhausted but had plans to go to Mackinac Island having time cut that short at 2 pm for exhaustion from not sleeping the night before. Then while trying to take a nap, the loud mouth neighbor next door started talking loud at the top of his lungs. I asked him to tone it down please and he got angry at me. Despite the fact that there is a leashed dog policy the permanent resident let his dog wander into our campsite. Looked like a pitbull! For safety reasons we could not stay and decided abruptly to leave.
I will NEVER stay here again. If I could give this place negative stars I would!!
We requested a refund of the third night as we left at 2 pm on the day after the first night and they ignored us-so I am disputing the card charge!
We were charged $65 for first night and $55 for two more nights. I tried to call the manager to talk about this but his answering service answered and when I insisted on talking to someone THEY HUNG UP ON ME.
The picture of the website looks nothing like the site. If you want to have a good vacation? I highly recommend you NOT stay here. F-!

Wow, where do I start. Only stay here as a last resort. In our first hour here we we looked for another campground but there was no availability in the area. I sincerely question whether there was a ‘system glitch’ that confirmed all reservation requests as opposed to confirming based on availability. It my guess the owners were just trying to get as many people squeezed in as possible to make up for lost cash due to the covid lockdown. Speaking of which, there wasn’t a single sign with the word ‘Covid’ on it. There wasn’t even a sign in the mildew covered and rust stained bath house asking you to wash you hands. But there IS a sign in the bath house telling you to take quick showers because of the small water heater. Under the guise of ‘making everyone happy now that they have driven all this way’ the manager was making everybody stay two to a campsite. So no privacy, safety concerns, and now having to squabble with other frustrated campers about who gets water and who gets power. Now for the dump station. There IS a dump station. But no trash for your gloves, no sanitizer, the water doesn’t reach to your rig, and worst, you have to back out of the dump station to exit the campground. That’s right, you can’t pull through the dump station. There was also a guy living in the campground with a SUPER loud pickup truck engine and a big guard dog that whined when the guy left him there all day. At least the dog didn’t bark constantly. The manga get Walt seemed to keep a level head, having to manage this place and all the frustrated campers all by himself. I suppose if you had a lake side spot (which we were confirmed for) you would be able to overlook some of the grossness. Campground in total disrepair, requires owners to make investment in restoring what may have been a pleasant outfit at one time. If zero stars was an option, that’s what I would give this place. We plan to stay at Mill Creek right down the road next time we come up north.

Owner informed us the hotel was overbooking them and he had just cancelled 30 reservations. Campers were packed in there like sardines. The owner greeted us with a cigarette hanging out of his mouth. While checking us in, he stopped to carry on 2 conversations with random people walking by and took a personal phone call in the middle of it. Our site was very unlevel. The campground really needed some TLC. Looks nothing like the website. Definitely felt there was some false advertising here. The whole operation seemed a bit shady. We showered and hit the road. We didn’t stay the whole night.
We also booked our ferry tickets through the site and had to run all over town to find them. They were at the Hamilton Inn.

Right on the lake. Small CG, Big sites, ours was level but we saw other trailers that needed 3-4” worth of blocks under the tires to level side to side - even if you get one of those sites - the views are worth the set up hassle. Roberts Landing has wonderful views of Lake Huron, Mackinaw Island, Bios Blanc Island and the Mackinaw Bridge. This is a very clean, well-kept, and professionally managed RV resort with courteous caring staff.
It has large bath/shower rooms with plenty of hot water and pressure. They are closed twice a day for cleaning. Grounds are well kept and mowed with many tree-shaded sites.
This is a family and dog friendly campground. They also have plenty of room for tent camping. Families were enjoying the beach and found plenty of stones for skipping.
The North Central Bicycle trail is across Hwy 23 but access to the trail requires a 1/4 mile ride north on the road. Mackinaw City is about a 50 minute bike ride North from Roberts Landing taking the trail.
Roberts Landing is a Northern Michigan hidden gem with beautiful lake views and a quiet stay with the sounds of Lake Huron constantly rolling up on shore.
