Our stay at RiverWalk was absolutely perfect. Property Managers Dan and Kim made it special assisting in our needs while extremely friendly.

Never disappoints… you drive down the hill and suddenly you feel relaxed and happy. What a beautiful campground. Thank you for another fantastic year! Can’t wait to be back next year😁

We had an enjoyable time camping here. The hosts welcomed us warmly -- including a gift of a bundle of firewood to help take the chill of autumn out of the evening air. We had an enjoyable time camping here. The hosts welcomed us warmly -- including a gift of a bundle of firewood to help take the chill of autumn out of the evening air. We were taken to our campsite and offered assistance with backing our 5th wheel into our site, which was amazing!
The weekend was packed full of optional activities and was theme-based which was fun. There were no issues at all with the weekend. Everyone -- staff and fellow campers were nice, friendly, and helpful.
One thing that would be helpful in the future was a tip that was provided to us by friends who camped here in the past -- the campground entrance sign is easy to miss, and were were thankful that it had been pointed out to us to 'turn right into the drive between the church and the house at the top of the hill". We would have missed the drive otherwise. There is a sign there, I just think that we expected to see the campground from the road, instead of just an entrance. We will be back to camp in this location again. We had a great time.

Overall Rating
The five-star experience begins when you come in to check have the staff are so friendly and so helpful. Our granddaughter had a great time with the costume contest and trick-or-treating in the park. We grabbed food from the food truck between the costume contest and trick-or-treating and it was awesome.

We’ve stayed at Riverwalk many times. While the special weekends are fun..we really like staying during the week when it’s quieter and the area attractions aren’t quite as busy. We’ve stayed at Riverwalk many times. While the special weekends are fun..we really like staying during the week when it’s quieter and the area attractions aren’t quite as busy. You won’t find more accommodating owners and camp hosts. Great dog park, bath house/laundry, and camp store. You feel like you’re off the road but still close to all the amenities! One of the best areas to stay for wineries and close to Mt Airy for all it has to offer.

It is a family oriented campground with loads of activities for children and adults. Most friendly people. Staff is great. Owners are fantastic. Loving and helpful. We stay there because of that reason. We average 5 stays a year.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Riverwalk! The campground is very clean and very well run. I have never seen a more organized or more pleasant staff. Check-in was an absolute breeze! The site was level with a nice amount of space between it and other sites. The activities on Saturday were fun, particularly the karaoke night. We have been camping with our RV for the past eleven years and I think this was our best experience so far. The campground is located very conveniently to downtown Elkin. It only took a few minutes to get into Elkin and there were many things to do there. It's also a short drive to Stone Mountain State Park and I went trout fishing there. We visited nearby vineyards and had some delicious wine. We have already reserved a site for next year. Can't wait to go back!
