For the price this is not a good place to stay. Check in they gave us a sight someone had been in for weeks (tall grass around). Entire park is on a slight hill so nothing is level. Bathrooms are old and outdated. For less money maybe this is a 3 star place. The five star reviews given here must be fake. Not a nice place.

Rivertown Rose Campground is located a few miles south of Vicksburg directly off Highway 61. We stayed here for a week and it was an easy drive into town to visit all the attractions. Pull-thru sites here are gravel with a picnic table. Our site was level and we did not need any extensions to reach the hook ups. The office was able to receive mail for us and the staff were helpful and cheerful. They have a cute little policy of giving you a couple chocolate mints upon check in as a welcome. WiFi speeds depended on time of day, but were adequate for checking email and downloading documents. The pool was not yet open at the time of our visit and they have a small play structure for the kids. The laundry facilities were clean and spacious and included a TV, sofa, iron and ironing board. The office has quarters available for the machines. There is one bathhouse for the park. The facilities are accessed with a keypad and for their age, they were relatively clean. They have three large shower stalls with unlimited hot water. During a couple days, there was a slight sewer smell in and around the building. We had no problems at our site, though. We would stay here again and recommend this campground for its friendly staff, location to Vicksburg, and ease of access from the highway.

We stayed because of the great reviews on Campendium. Did not disappoint.

Water, elec, sewer at evey site. Not a State Park atmosphere but second best to that.

This park was quiet, clean, large spots, easy to get in and get out of. All workers were super nice. Upon check in they had welcome bags for us and one for our dog. Ours kids loved the playground.

Nice trees through the campground but need to trimmed so the branches do not hit the roof of the trailers. Nice spacing between the sites. Very quiet. Sites are very level and plenty big enough for our dually truck and 42’ fifth wheel. All hook ups are at the very back of the site so park your RV at the end of the site.
Lots of ants on the utility poles. Very dusty due to dirt/ gravel roads. The speed limit is not enforced and in fact, staff of the park go very fast through the park which only makes the dust worst. We were there on a day when they mowed and our truck was so dirty from the dust, we had to wash the windows before we could drive it.
Internet did not work the first 6 days we were here. After that, it worked about 70% of the time. The cable worked about 80% of the time.

We stopped for the night. Good level spot with lots of room between. Bathhouse was older but clean. We couldn’t get reservation at the casino (they wouldn’t pick up the phone) and glad we stayed here after seeing the tight entrance at casino campground.

We stayed for a week in May, 2021. Getting there was easy. It is about 5 miles from I-20 on US-61. The sites are huge - we had a front lawn that was about 60x20. There was no noticable road noise. Access was excellent. We are 57' overall and had no trouble getting into or out of the site. The site was gravel and pretty level side to side. The entire campground slopes toward the Mississippi River so drainage is good. The edges (back and sides) of the campground appear to be seasonal campers, but there are plenty of other sites. The utility hookups were in good condition.
The campground is very well maintained and clean. Staff members regularly cruise through the campground and pick up trash (including bagged household trash.) They also pick up and deliver propane tanks. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The laundry room was clean with a TV and comfortable seats. There were 4 washers and 4 dryers. The laundry cost was low -$1 for washers and $1.50 for 45 minutes on the dryers. NOTE: Don't put money in the dryers until after you start them - that sounds crazy but it is true.
The campground location is great. 10 minutes to Vicksburg NMP, five minutes to Walmart, 15 minutes to downtown Vicksburg, and 6 minutes to I-20.
We would definitely stay there again.

We stayed at the casino when we were through here last fall and would definitely recommend Rivertown Rose Campground over the casino. Bigger spaces, GREAT wifi, super staff, etc.

This campground has good space between units and an onsite store. People are friendly and the price is fair. This is a good place for long or short term stay.
