Overall Rating
Close to I-20 E/W. All pull-through sites. Chose site 3 and fit our 30’ MH + Subaru end to end. Manager opened doors promptly at 8:30 am as indicated on sign on door. Manager must split time between RV park and Ameristar Casino. Park phone is 601-631-0402. If no answer there, try hotel at 601-638-1000. Ext. 6001, 6002, or 6003.

We arrived on a Sunday - I had tried calling ahead and no answer, nor response to a voicemail I left.
So we picked a spot - I called the casino and they didn't know what I was talking about re the RV park or trying to pay. So we just paid in morning when office opened (it is closed on weekends).
Some sites are better that others, meaning that some re obviously not very level, cracked asphalt that sort of thing. But some are pretty good! They are spacious, there are some trees, there is a lot of room to walk around. Cannot not hear much street noise at all. There are traintracks nearby - heard trains in evening but not during sleeping time.. You can walk to casino - a bit up and down and probably 10 minutes. Restrooms were locked when we were there We camped at Ameristar Vicksburg RV Park in a Truck Camper.

We tried to make a reservation at the RV park 14 days in advance, gave our payment info, but never received an email confirmation for the stay. We tried to make a reservation at the RV park 14 days in advance, gave our payment info, but never received an email confirmation for the stay. So the day we were to arrive, December 8, 2023, we called and was told it was “first come first serve” and to call the hotel front desk to check in, give our space number, and pay for the night. So we picked our spot & tried multiple times to call the front desk but could not get anyone to pick up the call. In the hospitality business, communication is the number 1 reason for success or failure. This was an epic failure. We had no way of finding out the code to get into the bathroom. This is an inconvenience and horrible safety issue. What if someone had an immediate medical emergency???? On a different note, the park advertised cable, WiFi, paved “good” road conditions, and an emergency phone on site. In reality, none of those advertised features were accurate. While the road was paved once you got into the actual RV parking area, getting into the park was horrible. It has a steep decline/incline once you get to the actual entrance to the park. There was no WiFi, cable, or emergency phone to be found. But we did receive a cancellation email at 1:33 am while we were there (cancellation number CXLPHBR72NHX). We tried to call the front desk as we were preparing to leave that morning, was on hold for a full hour before we finally gave up & ended the call. We are Good Sam Elite Members and will make sure to leave this information on their site and other RV info web sites and social media. Obviously we will never stay at this park again.

While the park has 67 pull through full hook-up sites, all with concrete pads. 27 sites are 50A, the rest are 30A. The park leaves a lot to be desired. We just bought our coach, and are driving it 550 miles from LA to our home in GA. So the pull through sites were attractive considering we would have had a long day of a crash cours... more

We just bought our coach, and are driving it 550 miles from LA to our home in GA. So the pull through sites were attractive considering we would have had a long day of a crash course regarding the use of our coach and then driving it for the first time.
I am giving it a 3 star because this is the RV Park for a casino, we do not have a toad with us on the first trip and made a bad assumption that there would be shuttle service between the park and the casino so we could grab diner. Fortunately, my wife has family in the area that drove 10 minutes to run me to a local McDonald's to grab diner. So this is bad, and trust me the casino lost out by not having the shuttle cause I know I would have hit a poker table and my wife would have spent some time on the slots. Their loss.
Next, the park does not offer cable or internet. I did spot several 4G cell repeaters on poles through out the park - so in regards to phone signal we are full bars, but hardly any data service - especially if we tried to turn on our Hotspots. So no cable, no internet, no way to get to the casino... thank goodness I had downloaded a couple movies to my laptop so I could cast it to our TV to wind down from a long day.
If we come back, we definitely will have a toad so we can get to the casino.

Level concrete pads with hookups as expected. Some shade trees. No laundry or cable as advertised. Good showers. Too far from the casino so walking is not an option. Good cell signal.

Close to the highway, $33 bucks per night with GS. I imagine when this park was first built, the Ameristar Casino thought it would fill up with travelers looking to gamble at their riverboat style casino across the road. I imagine when this park was first built, the Ameristar Casino thought it would fill up with travelers looking to gamble at their riverboat style casino across the road. In 2023, not so much, the park is mostly empty on weekends and no one is in the office until Monday? ?? Pull through sites too short to accommodate any tow vehicles. No laundry because the laundry was broken into and “we don’t when it will get fixed.” No wifi or cable as others stated. It’s mid January and the far too tall water faucets are wrapped with pink insulation, our sewer connection is flush with the concrete. No, no.
The casino industry in Mississippi has played out and this casino RV park is a reflection of that. Not enough return to bother with it.

It’s an okay place for an overnight stopover. Full hookups, the pads were narrow. The casino is across the street. Old town Vicksburg is just a little further down Washington Ave. Not bad for the price.

Kim, at front desk, was pleasant on the phone in person. The spots are mainly level but many are inoperative/need work. Nice grassy area on perimeter for walking dogs but no dog station with bags. Pool was not working and cable was out. As others have said, it needs some TLC but good for an overnighter or a short stay to see the sights... more

That said we will stay again because its pleasant and in a good spot for our travel routes.
