Anyone tried Starlink here yet? Would love to know if it worked, or if there is too much tree interference. Thanks!

We came early on a Friday on mother’s day weekend which was May 11th and 12th. The website said that showers would be open but we found that was not true. We were in loop “B” and had a great pull through spot that was pretty level and required no modification. We had at&t and had great access with no issues. There is tent only camping which doesn’t provide power for a lesser fee. Fees at bottom.
Don’t believe what the website says as no one seems to follow it and everyone says different things with different questions. The high was in the 60’s and the low was in the 30’s at night. We had a popup and had no issue staying warm.
We were able to take some showers at the local recreation center and they charge $2 per person. We usually would just shower in our popup but we were conserving water.
Overall this wasn’t a bad camp ground and from what I can tell is that it is first come first serve throughout the year. Make sure you check as I think that may change after Memorial Day, but like I said, no one seems to be able to verify this for me.
Great access to Nederland which is 20 minutes away and they have a ton of restraints and a small town vibe. Lots of hiking but not much 4wd on state property.
Fees; this is a state park and there is a fee per vehicle. We paid $75 for year long pass, day passes were 7$ as of
2018. So if you stay one night it will cost you $26 for a electric site, plus 7$ per vehicle that is with you. So the total per night would be $33.

Had always wondered about this park & we were not disappointed. We had a site in Loop C. The loops seemed a bit tight in the turn but we managed. Site was realitivly level, spacious & clean. Our kids took the site beside so we had a comfortable stay altogether. We hiked in the glorious fall colors. Look forward to staying here again.

The place is pretty remote, but the gravel drive was well maintained and easy to access.
