Nice setting however the local road is right in front of the pull-thru sites. Although it is rural KS there was quite a bit of traffic during the day & evening.
Sites are first come-first served with a drop box near the restrooms. Numerous services, including Walmart, are available in Pratt.

We have stayed at this particular campground on 3 different occasions while traveling West. We live in Kansas and this is our first stop going that way. No problem finding a space. Not sure about weekends. I think this year they raised the price to $20.00 per night, which isn't bad. Only drawback is it appears to be a place for people to drive their cars and motorcycles all through the park at all hours of the night. There doesn't appear to be much to do in Pratt, KS and this must be the spot the locals, especially young people come to gather. I'm surprised that local law enforcement don't patrol that much. If you do decide to stay, get a back in if you can. They are a little bit further from the road that goes through the park and you won't have anyone behind you. A little less noise. They also have a dump station for your use. All in all, not a bad place to camp. I'm not sure about weekends, but my guess is this place rocks. If you are just traveling through Kansas, try to come on a weekday.

We thought it was a fairly nice park. Easy to find a spot the week leading up to Memorial Weekend; first come, first served. A couple of issues with loud speeding vehicles, kids walking thru our site (close enough to the rig to run her fingers thru the dirt) and someone coming in close to 10:30 pm to drop off their rig, hanging out talking loud enough for us to hear them, then leaving for the night.
Anyway, this was the only reason that we didn't give it 5 stars. We know these were not the campgrounds fault.
It would have been interesting to camp on one of the piers, but it rained most of the time we were there and we worried about flooding.
I used Verizon mifi for work and the signal was fine for calls & downloading when boosted.

In town park was blocked off because of an event the next day. County employee directed me here. Very happy he did. Much better place to stay. Decided to stay on a pier for $5 a night. Don’t need hook ups. Fun and different.

There was only 2 other fifth wheelers there. Sites long enough to park our 38 ft Class A and Jeep Cherokee with room to spare. Tent sites are on little peninsulas that extend into the water. Entry to park was easy. The price has increased to $20 per night for electric & water, unchanged for tent etc. Well worth it. If coming this way again, will definitely stay here.

Very inexpensive; nothing fancy; nice pull-throughs so no need to unhook tow vehicle; water and electricity. Dump station on site. The payment is by self-serve envelope at the park. Nice path around a small lake on site. A road does run right by the front row of campsites, but it didn't bother us much. Our first stay it was hot and we had our air conditioning on. Our second stay we were in a blasting thunderstorm. Windows were all closed in our camper both times, then we took off again first thing in the morning(s).

Attempted to stay 5/3/2022. At entrance on Lake Road (3 miles east of US-281), there was sign "Vehicles over 24,000 lbs. not allowed." So we turned around and went to Bert's RV Park north of Pratt.

Spent an overnight here in mid-October. The pull thru sites are long and level and allowed us to stay hitched and still park the wife's car on the same pad. It appears the back-in sites would also be long enough to allow for the same set up.
The park is conveniently located off of Highway 400, but just far enough away to allow for little -- if any -- road noise. Roads to and into the park are easily accessible for any sized rig. If you have a smaller rig, and don't need hookups, I would strongly consider using one of the numerous "jetties" for a campsite. Certainly large enough with covered picnic tables and you would be right on the water. For $5, this looks like a great option, though I don't think it would be good for a rig over 30 feet, though that could be doable.
$15 for full hookups is a great deal. However, when we were there, they had just shut off the water to the campground for the season the day before. This meant the bathrooms were closed and there was no water to be had ANYWHERE in the park that we could find. Luckily we were only there for 1 night and happened to have some water in our fresh tank. It would have sucked had we pulled in and set up with an empty water tank. Some sort of signage pointing out the water is off for the season at the entrance would be helpful. If I were considering this site for early spring or late fall, I would definitely call ahead to check on the status of the water and plan accordingly.
