There is a long gravel road to get to the cove. I have a RAV4 and had bo problems on the road, it could be more challenging with a sedan but there were sedans parked on the beach. We got there on a Friday and it wasn’t too busy (two other groups) but the beach/camp area is very small. By night time/early morning there were a lot of people coming through using the area for random things. Arriving at 8pm to inner tube with spot lights, 5am 4-wheeling, 6am fishing and vomiting… There was just not enough space for all these people as there were not many places to access the water or to set up camp. Lake was consistently windy (white caps) as well so we weren’t able to paddle board as we had planned.
Overall we had expected a peaceful, quiet stay but it was anything but.

Dirt road out is easy, although I wish it was more intense so less cars could make it out lol. As for spots at the end, wouldn’t advise that on a weekend, it’ll be packed already. There’s little offshoots on the side that get you to the side shore which is not so packed. There was some debris from people but it definitely could’ve been worse. We did not use the restroom at the end so I can’t comment on that but it looked to be accessible.

The van felt like it was going to shake itself apart. 4x4 is not required but soft suspension is. The site itself is littered with trash. There is a vault toilet. The lake and view are incredible. The water is warm, shallow and clear. The bottom of the lake is smooth river rocks. Be careful for skunks. My dog killed one but in the process got sprayed.

Overall I loved this campsite. The lake is super clear, it is quiet and peaceful (at least it was when I was here in January) It got up to about 60 F during the day.
