The park itself had a similar number of reserved and drive up sites. The drive up sites has nice mature shade trees and were spaced for privacy, which we appreciated. The bathrooms were clean and well maintained. They had shower rooms, but bring your quarters if you like being in there for very long. The electrical sites are paved.

Stopped here on a Friday afternoon while traveling on I-80. Nebraska state park sites require 3 days + notice to book online, so that means walk-up for anyone traveling through. Most SPs in the Lincoln/Omaha area showed little availability but this one has quite a few walk-in-only sites, including six nice non-electric ones overlooking the lake. This is the tent loop, but a RV of maybe 30' can fit and it's only $15. Note that there is a vehicle fee, which for out of state is $12/night. Note that while the vault toilets are old the shower building is brand-new and very nice. I think it requires tokens or coins, however. Good cell service, very quiet. I'd call this a keeper for a one-night stay.
PS: there are several campgrounds around the lake, which also has two swimming beaches, kayak rental, boat ramp etc.
This is about a 15min drive off of I-80.

We travel full time in our 39ft 5th wheel and stopped here for the week on our way north so we could work!
Immaculately maintained grounds and beautiful lake with a beach area. Over spots with fire pits, picnic tables and ours even had a awning cover over our table.
Bathroom were okay - Not the cleanliest but the place was also packed!
Definitely a “local spot” for the summer! Locals were super friendly and welcoming though.
Our satellite worked ok with the trees - some other spots had no trees and it would have worked great so just scout the map if you need the satellite.
Quick drive in to Lincoln and about an hour to Omaha.
Overall if we ever found ourselves in Nebraska again we’d stay here another time. Definitely think it’s worth the price compared to a lot of places we’ve been for full hookup!

No hook $15/day. Electric $25/day. Out of season $5 less.
In season starts mid April.
Showers extra $.50 for 3 min. A gnat could spit more water than the shower head does.
Dump station is down by area 1.
Seems to be a lot of locals on the weekend but was quite on Sunday night.

I would definitely skip this campground altogether. It is not worth it for the price- obviously more expensive per night if using electric hookups. We camp in the back of our SUV and there were no spots for just cars. It seemed that the only spots for tent camping were in the first parking lot towards the left and the only other spots were spaces 126-130. We paid for the night and left after 30 minutes. It was so uncomfortable. Very little ATT coverage on the left side of the campground with tent sites. The RV side, there was no service.
The campground does accept reservations along with spaces labeled non reservation.

We stayed on the dry camping side with all the tent sites which gave us quite a bit of privacy. The sites with power were pretty busy. We were there on a Saturday evening, the park was 85% full on the power sites and the dry camping side was pretty empty, maybe 6-8 tents and 2 RV’s.

Nice lake but spaces are very close. During our stay park dept decided to cut the bushes that separated our site from the other down. Everyone had a dog or more. Trash was overflowing after a couple days. The pads are mostly flat and concrete. No water or sewer available. Very family friendly spot.

We stayed at the Lakeview CG 9-11 July 2018 while attending ZooFest music festival and visiting Lincoln's sites: Sunken Gardens, State Capitol, Great Plains Art Museum, etc.
A beautiful, tree shaded campground with lots of open grassy areas. RV pads are electric only, so we loaded our trailer fresh water tank before leaving our last stop ( a very noisy commercial RVP in Lincoln). There are community spigots available, so it is not a disaster if one were to arrive with a dry FW tank. Our pad (#50) was a left back-in, slightly downhill, with a side pitch that required the use of leveling blocks to correct.
The public showers are interesting. Push a plunger to get water flowing, which stays on for about 10 seconds, and then shuts off. Repeat until done. Plenty of water flow, but no apparent way to adjust temperature. This was okay in July, but might not be much fun in April or May.
