Dry camping was $27/night ($15 + $12 park pass. Dry camping is at SE end of the campground where fisherman put their boats in. The lake is no longer dried up, and very pleasant to sit out on the fishing piers (posting pics). It got very busy with both campers and day use as it neared the weekend.

5/26/19 Rates have risen a bit. Elec site is $25, tent site $17. Plus park permit of $6 residents, $8 non-residents. So we paid $33. Site 21. Sites are large with gravel pads. Bathrooms are close but I haven’t used one yet. They are vault toilets. Grass seems a little long. Dogs seem to be welcome and people are friendly! USCe... more

We were traveling east on I80 and thought we try this state rec area. A bit of a challenge getting here as I133 south is closed due to construction. We were traveling east on I80 and thought we try this state rec area. A bit of a challenge getting here as I133 south is closed due to construction. We eventually found Conestoga Lake State Park after a 30 minute detour.
There are tent only sites ($8.00 per night) and RV/Trailer sites with 30amp and 20amp power ($17 per night). There is also an daily park entrance fee of $6 for state licenced vehicles or $8 for out of state vehicles.
Our site (#22) backed onto a bit of a forest and had lots of room. I would say most of the sites are larger then you usually find in campgrounds.
Conestoga Lake looked a bit dry, but you could still see Herons standing in the shallow water.
There is a dumping station and fresh water is available.
Great location!
