We just visited, didn't stay. There is in fact a flowing river crossing the road. Was 8-10 inches high and the bottom was all large-ish rock. Bathrooms clean. There is a large area for RVs before you cross the river in the road. But the lake is a hike uphill/downhill, maybe a half mile. The best campsite is by the lake. Looks like only one RV would be very level but could fit maybe 3. At the far end there is a very large fairly flat area, right next to a few trailheads. You can't see the lake from there but you are close. LOTS of fish in the lake I was told. Road to the lake isn't terrible, most of it is well maintained. Sections are a bit rougher but doable pulling a trailer

Dirt road to creek was well maintained and pretty level. The main road to the reservoir crosses the creek without a bridge and the water was 14 inches high in the middle and the creek was about 20 feet wide - we couldn't do this in our sedan. There is a campsite at the creek ford which could accommodate 10 or so large RVs in one or two groups. At the campsite we stayed at, there is a road which ends in a gate to private land and a trail for ATVs (<50in wide). Volunteer staffed pit toilet was clean and stocked at the ford site, and there was one picnic table at the ford site and maybe two or three large rock fire pits. This area was pretty large, flat, and mostly dirt to the forest edges.

The "needle" is a really neat rock formation you can see from the creek ford campsite.

National forest land so 14 day camping limit.

The spot we stayed was a clean, flat site with lots of room for tents or RVs (maybe 2 large RVs). Grasses covered most of the site. Very quiet, no light pollution, in a healthy aspen glen. The creek is more than 100 yards away and a bushwack through rose bushes.

From where we were, there was no trail or footpath to the reservoir. We forded the creek on foot and walked the road a bit, but it's not easy to access the reservoir from that lower site.

You need to drive about an hour to get to cell service (we have google fi)
