Pulled in and was greeted by one of the bluegrass musicians, they were having a jam session! He showed me where all the 50 amp boxes were. Where else can you find 50 amp elec, water & dump for $15 for 24 hrs! Not to mention a beautiful park. Did I mention we are big, I mean really big! We have a 46' toyhauler & a semi tractor. We had plenty of room, and it was solid. But beware if it's raining or been wet. Just use common sense. Scored 2 stars on access just because it was tight for our size, but it can be done, just be aware! 3 stars on location just for having to dodge tollway.

If you can make it during the Winfield music festival do it, yes the place gets very full. But you get to listen to some impromptu Blue Grass, from a bunch of people that just gather with their instruments and play the night away. we really enjoyed it, ha we known we might have stayed an extra day or two.

The park is in the shape of an oval, with a gravel road around and through the middle, you can pull through or back in. Power is great & the water is good. About 20 to 25 minutes into Wichita by the I-35 toll road. Toll is $1.75. There has been 2 other rv's here since we arrived. We have a 40ft. fifth wheel and had no problems parking. It has been very dry here with no rain in the forecast for awhile, so no problems with jacks sinking. We put pads under our jacks just in case. We really like city parks and this one is very nice.

Lot of campground updates due to heavy usage with overflow from local Walnut Valley Music Festival in Winfield Kansas in September. Check the dates each year for that and Oxford Watermelon Feed. New bathrooms x 2 and amphitheater. Many more electric poles. If see many campers, may be a Wichita Traditional Music Association camping and playing in spring and fall. Challenging disc golf course. Other recreational opportunities are playground, volleyball court and horse shoes. Grass but fairly level. No assigned spots. Bring your own gray water hose if dumping. Old Mill is not operational at this time.

Great for an overnight stay. Cute park, covered picnic facilities. Bathrooms were spotless. Honor system to pay. No attendants. Note: town is very small but there is a Casey’s within walking distance. .

We found the park adequate. Sites are relatively level, and quite spacious. The ground is pretty saturated right now, and would pose a problem if we were to get much more rain. Utilities work just fine. Bathrooms need better upkeep. So far, very quiet and peaceful.

Not sure why, as we drove deeper into "park" (I use the term loosely) and there were places with poles all to themselves, and we got one. Would not have wanted to be there in later rains we encountered all over KS b'c it was just a grassy field and a bit soft. But plenty of peace and quiet and a quick drive to Wichita where we needed to be the next morning. I didn't check out bathrooms, my husb said they were "creepy."
