Camped here for a week offseason (Jan 2023). Not too crowded at this time of year. The beach is right behind the campground. There's a nice free pier a short walk to the right up the beach. The sites are fairly close together. It was peaceful at night, no wild neighbors, though that might be different in summer season. The workers were bustling around on their golf carts a lot, not that it was a problem. The airport is very close so airplanes were taking off and landing throughout the day, but not at night. Some of the sites along the front perimeter have sewer hookups, but those sites also looked like they got a lot of water pooled up after a night of rain. Verizon cell service was mostly good enough to work remote, though it seemed to occasionally flake out until I put my phone in airplane mode and then back out, like it latched onto a bad tower or something.

We had a wonderful stay here. It was beautiful to walk through the campground and just a short distance walk to the beach. There are also nature trails close by which we’re beautiful. Be careful walking your dogs on the path by the beach, lots of sandspurs.

We travel full time and only stay at state parks, this is a very nice wooded site with good size lots. It gets very busy on the weekends, friday and saturday nights are loud and busy.
The airport is nearby so planes were going over constantly even at 4am.

However, the campground has a big problems with dressage system, which makes their dirt packed sites, muddy and unpleasant. We happened to camp there during a big rain and our site was flooded. The only complaint we have is that the sites are not very private at all. :/

We stay here many times each year. Usually for 3-4 day weekends or for weeks that we have business in the area. It is camping the way it used to be! Sites are nestled in the woods with trees. Certainly not the new **Camping on a slab of concrete next to your neighbor**. Facilities, although older, are very well maintained. Mostly by volunteer workers of the state park system. They need to be recognized and congratulated for their daily efforts to keep the state park clean. We are booked there for most of September, half of October and long weekends throughout the colder months. I hope this helps!

Great stay, decent price and smooth reservations and check in. Love how convenient the walk to the ocean was. Bathhouse with hot shower was awesome. We had a 30 amp site with water no dump out it was across the way. Site was a little tight to maneuver with trees but we did it. We are 40’. Struggled with my wifi to work.

The site was faily big with enough privacy that you didnt feel like you were on top of each other. Bathrooms were clean. Would definitely stay here again!
