Only thing- bathroom light was on the whole night and it’s noticeable. We liked sites 5 and 6 but if we were staying again we would probably move to 3 which is a pull through or site 1.

The sites were large but it’s wide open just large tall trees. It was adequate for a one night quick stay but I wouldn’t stay longer. Looked like a few people may live there??? The water spouts are not on your site but way back near the woods and there are no electric hook ups or showers. Bathrooms are unisex with a couple of stalls with curtains.

In the last photo, you will see this site has a path to the bathrooms (circled in red). There are seperate mens/womens bathroom “shacks” that each have two toilets with shower curtains as doors and one sink/mirror. No showers. The bathrooms are open to the elements.
You are able to park your car at the site which is nice. We saw a few over-flow parking spaces throughout the campground.
The sites are equipped with a picnic table, post to hang a lantern on, fire ring with grill, and a water spigot. No electric hookups.
When we were here, there was firewood available for a donation next to the ranger’s site. Not sure if it is always available.
The spot is right next to the “pond” and the frogs that live there are very vocal at night. So if that’s something that may bother you, you may want to consider bringing earplugs. We could also hear the road traffic at this site.
Overall, we have enjoyed it and would definitely come back!

No pets allowed means nice and quiet :-)
We gave 4 stars for noise ONLY beause on a couple of nights, there were larger groups making noise into the night (although that's to be expected to some degree anywhere), and we could hear the highway in the distance (not an issue but deserving of a 4).

Very nice fire rings with attached grill, water hookup, nice picnic tables with a place to hang a lantern. Had pretty good cell service with T-mobile... was able to stream. Calls had to be made outside. Beautiful trees, and a nice wooden staircase to walk down to the water. Trash House to take your trash to...
Camp host is very nice and keeps place clean.
We would go back there more often but they do not allow pets. That is the only down side to this campground or I would give it a 5 star
Some in our group said the highway noise bothered them... It did not bother us, slept like babies..
One of the alligators in the water appears to have only three legs...

Very pretty but basic site. Was surprised that we had to pay for this location. Was probably to support the camp Host that lived on site. He maintained the area very well and was very friendly. The old phosphate mine which is now fishable has about nine edible fish and two alligators. The alligators obviously did not bother us. It is a very tranquil area down by the water. On the weekend some noisy people came by and partied into the night but overall it was a pretty quiet place. Access to this campsite is via a reservation online where you get a combination for the locked gate. If you are a larger rig Please note the sites are not very big in terms of length. Great location and distance from Homosassa Springs where the wildlife park is a must.
