Just a short couple of miles of good gravel road to get there. Arrived at gate. Had just enough Verizon service to get a spot and gate code. Wide concrete parking pad. Power and water. Dump station just outside the gate. Well kept grass. Huge spots with picnic table. It’s on the list for the next time I’m in this part of the state.

We stayed for a quick overnight. The setting is lovely, sleeping under Spanish moss-laden trees. It's a sheltered site. Bathrooms were spotless. Easy access from Inverness, with the last mile or so of road unpaved but hard packed. Just a few potholes. There were much bigger rigs there than our 21' Class B.

I stayed here in the middle of the week and only had about 5 other campers on the entire property. The electrical and water hookups worked well. I only had 1 bar of service, but it was enough to use the internet and make phone calls the entire time. I’ll definitely be visiting again. 🙏

Our site was enourmous, with little to no vegetation, there is not alot of privacy here. The only trash receptacle is a shack at the exit gate. Speaking of the exit gate, ensure you take not of the signs regarding where to stop for the gate as it for some reason opens inward. The dump station was fine and it is on the road just before you enter the campground. Across the street is a large primitive campground, but you must have a valid hunting permit to use it. The hiking was good in the area, lots of trails and lots of hunters as well. Starlink worked great and all of the sites had a concrete pad with water and electricity. Had no T-Mobile coverage in the campground, but did while hiking in the area.
Nothing exceptional, but a nice place to stay.

Area off the beaten path. Quiet. We had number 13. By the bathrooms. Bathrooms clean. Ran out of paper towels. Hot showers. So to stalls and two showers. Downfall one bar for Wi-Fi. And the hiking trails were one to two miles away from the camping area. No place to go kayaking

I just finished staying here, we spent 3 nights (Friday Afternoon - Monday Morning). The 27 Site Campground was nearly full on Saturday night, and nearly empty Sunday with only 8 sites filled. The reservation process was simple, and gives several discounts, Military Included. The Camground is down a limestone dirt road, that had a couple spots with several potholes and wash outs. But was passable with care in those areas. There is a Gate at the entrance guarded by a keypad, and Cell Coverage is very weak with AT&T - Verizon does better.
so Write down your Gate Code before you get off the paved road or you may need to back track for service.
Power was 50 or 30 Amp, and water had plenty of pressure. No Site Sewage, but a dump station on the left just after you pass the entrance only gate. The Restrooms are at the back of the campground, and the Men's room had 3 sinks, with hot & cold water, 1 Urinal, 2 Toilets, and 2 shower stalls. I never had to wait for restroom or showers.
The grounds were well kept, except for a couple dog piles (yes dogs are allowed - leashed). Firewood was available near the Restrooms for a donation - but you'll need an axe to split it, only large OAK logs were there.
we burned one whole, and it took 2 full days to burn. Fire Rings and Picnic Tables are at each site, a bit away from the parking pads. Speaking of - they are really solid, and I was on the largest in the campground, and not one crack.
Trash building, is next to the exit gate, but requires a couple steps to get to the Flap/Door. So for those with disabilities, I suppose you would leave it next to the building, and the Ranger (who lives just in back of the Park), can take care of it when the make their rounds (which they do several times day and into the night).
The Ranger also takes care of the Restrooms, which is where we met, and she was upbeat, and pleasant. You could tell she takes pride in her Campground.
