This was the best campground we have stayed in so far! PJ and Louis (the owners) were fabulous about cleaning and following the social distancing rules. The sites are in great shape. We had two of our grandchildren and they enjoyed playing corn hole, riding their bikes, and roasting marshmallows at the firepit with a beautiful mountain view. We all enjoyed listening to the music being played on the giant porch Saturday night. This location is perfect for boating on Lake Chatuge, Mountain biking at Jack Rabbit, hiking Unicoi or Brasstown Bald and visiting many waterfalls, including Hemlock, Minnehaha, Angel and Panther falls. We also visited Blue Ridge, Blairsville, Helen, Dillard and Highlands, NC. Andy's trout farm on our way home from Highlands provided a delicious dinner at our campsite one night. This will definitely be a place we will return to.

Passing through we stayed 2 nights with FHU. Clean facilities, fantastic owners and no problem for my 38’ w/tow. The weather was cool at night, fire rings at sites, close to town of Hiawassee. Would definitely stay again. So quiet even during the day.

Wonderful, privately owned campground! The owners, PJ & Louie, are on site and extremely accommodating and personable - you can tell they really care about your experience and love what they do. Sites are well-kept, clean, and spacious with wonderful views all around, and the bathroom was clean and up to date. Wonderfully quiet at nite and the community fire ring on the hill is a great gathering spot to meet your neighbors. I didn't have a big rig, but those I saw had plenty of room to maneuver. Onsite WiFi was excellent. I was on site 31 next to the garage/shed which definitely had the best view, imo, and it was nice to have the building on one side for a little more privacy. Close to Hiawassee, hiking & other local attractions. Highly recommend :)

It is close to so many beautiful sites around Hiawassee. Unicoi and Vogel state parks are nearby but they are nowhere near as accommodating and quiet as Mountian View. Not many sites, and it lends to the personable nature of this refuge. Laundry facilities, clean bathrooms, popcorn machine, small movie theatre, small Pavillion for all to enjoy, just the perfect, simple, all-you-need campground.

Mountain View Campground is wonderful little RV park nestled in the mountains of Hiawassee GA. The owners and other campers are very friendly and helpful. When we arrived just before dark, Damien met us at the entrance and told us to go ahead and setup our site before we needed to check in so we wouldn’t be struggling in the dark. We were invited to and enjoyed a great evening at the campfire with the other campers getting to know each other. The owners cultivate a friendly and inviting atmosphere and it shows in so many ways.
The sites are level with full hookups, fire rings and picnic tables. Bathrooms are clean and WiFi was great. At the center of the park is a music hall with rocking chairs that you will often find other campers congregating.
And there is so much to do in the area. On the first day alone, we visited Brasstown Bald, Bell Mountain and Hightower Creek vineyard right down the road.
We will definitely return, and hopefully for a longer stay!

This campground is beautiful, serene and just the right size. The right size to meet personable hospitable people. May the Lord continue to bless you guys and the work you do running and managing the campground. Hiawassee along with Lake Chatuge has held a special place in our hearts for several years now with its sheer majestic beauty. And you guys added to that. Mike, Debbie and Damien. We have spent our entire lives in the extreme southern portion of this State and we have close proximity to some of the prettiest beaches and sunsets along Florida's gulf coast but the land has no character and it's extremely hot and humid. So hot, you can't enjoy the beaches but for a very short time before it's cookin!! We enjoyed our stay and will certainly be back. Thanks for everything you guys did Mike and Debbie to make our stay a memorable one.

The weekend pot luck dinner and/or Sunday breakfast hosted by the owners adds such a special touch to an already wonderful experience.
The owners live on the property and go over board to make each camper feel at home and welcome!! We have camped for many years, and both agree that Mountain View is THE BEST!
And....the WiFi service is great!!! Very strong and stable!
