Stayed for one night in December. Very quiet. Site we stayed was level but did drive past a few that were obviously not level. Perfect 5G on Verizon. Pit toilets were in large rooms and clean.

We needed a place for one night of Boondocking while driving between Iowa and Oklahoma. We drove in around 8:30 PM and there were two spots left. Beautiful grassy spaces between the sites and the lake which all parking spaces face. There’s a long drop toilet but no other amenities. I’s beautiful, quiet and much better than a Walmart or... more

Beautiful grassy spaces between the sites and the lake which all parking spaces face. There’s a long drop toilet but no other amenities. I’s beautiful, quiet and much better than a Walmart or Cracker Barrel parking lot, lol.
One thing: sites / parking spots are not level. Be prepared to adjust.

I have family in the Kansas City area and there are not a lot of RV options. I prefer Boondocking and this has been a nice option.
We’ve picked up a lot of trash and locals state this place is busy with off roading and loud parties in the summer. The sites are small, but each site has a fire pit, older picnic table & nice lake view.
