Excellent place to camp. Definitely as good as Hillsdale. The only draw back was we have a 32 trailer. So the site we were in was not deep or wide enough. But it was right by the water. We learned that there was other sites right by the water that we could fit our trailer on and have plenty of room. Its just a learning experience. No different than other places you have to learn what are the best sites. Depending on what you are looking for. The only draw back is the camp host site is an eye sore. Needs to clean up area around the camper. Hard to enforce rules if it looks like the host is not complying.

“Peaceful with a view”

Overall Rating

I only camped here for one night, but it was pleasant in my Honda Element. I chose a spot at the top of the hill (still a level site) with a view of the lake. I think all of the sites have a water view. There’s a train track nearby and trains do go by with horns blaring, but it wasn’t startlingly close. The bathroom was super clean with showers and flushing toilets. I’ll stay here again.

There’s a Walmart approximately 5 minutes away and the camping area isn’t gated so you can go in and out as necessary.
