We went right at the T and took the first left. The trail can get kind of tight and dips in a couple spots. Our 30’ bumperpull scrapped a couple of times. Signal was great, 5G for AT&T and Verizon. Was able to FaceTime and stream. Very private with little traffic.

Stayed a few nights and then moved over to Vekol Valley. If you want quiet and more options go to Vekol.

Found a nice flat, gravel clearing off the road. No noise here! So beautiful and peaceful. Note, road in is narrow, we're in truck and teardrop trailer (high clearance) and were brushing against bushes. Some bumps and big dips. Will absolutely come here again. In winter. True desert, (is in Sonoran Desert National Monument) would not go when temps up.
Cell service is extremely spotty, mostly non existent.

We stopped here with our 41' 5th wheel for 2 nights. We went to the right from the T and found a spot. The freeway noise is minimal and we had a beautiful backdrop of the mountain to the south. We had 2 other neighbors at a very good distance from us. We would definitely stay here again.

We went to the T and checked out both directions. There were 4 trailer/RV’s if you turned right. We went left toward the cell tower. Right after the first dip we parked off to the right. Road noise is always very limited at night on I-8. The last time we stayed at Vekol and decided to try this exit instead.
Gorgeous sunset as most are in AZ.
Road up to the T was washboard

Be sure to go slow! Narrow "road" in areas. No issues with my teardrop travel trailer and 4x4 tow vehicle. Will stay in the area again for sure when back in the area. Lots of choices. The bigger rigs are probably better off to stay at the start of the road as the road narrows and it would be very tight for larger 5th wheels etc. ... more

Could hear the coyotes at night!

There is a hilltop spot which gives nice views over the desert. When you exit off I-8 onto Freeman Rd, go to the the T and turn right. Go up the hill and at the top, turn left into a little hilltop space. We had two rigs up there easily. Could have had a third with careful positioning. Had 4 bars 5G Verizon. There was some noise from the freeway but not annoying. Lots of OTV tracks around and we took a hike across the desert. Lovely! I would definitely stay in this spot again.

My daughter stayed with me and was able to do very well with her Toyota Corolla! Location was rated 4 as we had long travel days to Phoenix and Tucson. If you want to hang out and stay at camp....Then this is a 5 star location for you! Would stay again!

Off exit 140 on I-8 there is a nice disperse camping area with great Verizon Service. This is a good location if you are new to boondocking.
The views are nice. Our site was very level. There was some trash we cleaned up. This is not uncommon.
The area is posted with warning signs related to smuggling and illegal immigration. There is a facility at the entrance with rangers at the entrance and we saw them most data.
The area is not too far from the Interstate and there is a little noise during the day and minimal noise at night.
Verizon cellular service is great. You can see the tower and it has a flashing light at night. The service was great for work or pleasure.
Come prepared, Gila Bend is the closet place for fuel and supplies.

Easy access with an exit off the highway. Some washboard dirt road, but nice and wide. We didn't go too far from the road, so there was some road noise, but nothing we minded. You could go back quite a ways and find some really great secluded spots. Be aware that this is a military zone, so there was some occasional noise from that and military personnel passing by now and then. There is a sign upon entry about being aware of illegal immigration in the area, but this did not feel like a threat while we were there by any means. Cell service was top notch for remote working the whole time. There were a few other campers here, but generally a pretty empty place. Hardly any trash that we noticed. Closest dump stations are in Gila Bend, but we had trouble finding water there for boondocking, so load up before you arrive. The saguaro cacti in the area make for a great landscape with good, endless biking.
