Unfortunately if you don’t book more than 4 days in advance you are limited to FF (first come first served). At $29 a night (cash only) with no hook ups, power, dump or water, rancid vault toilets, small spots and just an overall noisy park full of families, dogs and ATVs (June 2023) I wouldn’t stay past two nights.
The park is beautiful and the drive is stunning! Made it here to escape the heat of southern Utah and that did not disappoint.

He cant find the bathroom and tried found a tree to pee on. He was caught by this bald mean guy who was identified as the camp host and pointed him where to find the bathroom. Nice right?
But this host didnt stop there. He camp up to us and gave us a pep talk about how to act civilized IN THIS COUNTRY! His exact words. Ok, maybe he is the perfect father who have perfect kids. I am not saying what my son did is the best action, but jumping into conclusion that we as adults are not teaching our children manners is just off the line!
Plus there is nothing special about this camp ground. Other than that bald host guy will make you feel intimidated and uncomfortable, the campground is too close to the road which you will hear the loud noises of the cars passing by all night!
Really awful experience. Will NEVER go back or even recommend!

We went here on our Maiden voyage in late September. It was first-come first served so I was a little worried. The sign at the entrance said that the campground was full but we drove in and there were a few empty sites. We got a site right next to the stream and the sounds of that were wonderful. The downsides were that you do hear toad traffic and it seems to be a gamble if sites will be available.

Playing in the river is fun when it's low enough.
The noise from motorcycles going up the canyon echoed off the canyon walls and amplified. I had to use headphones and white noise sounds.
No cell service, but close enough we could drive out of the canyon for calls.
