This place was $20 a night, and had lots of sites for RVs and/or tents. The host was kind and helpful. Bathrooms weren't far, they were clean and had warm showers. There is a bear box, fire pit, grill, and pinic table at every site. It was fairly quiet, some boat and road noise in the evening. The sites themselves weren't far from each other, but had lots of trees and bushes to separate them so you aren't right up on your neighbor. We decided to leave a night early because of a thunder storm coming in and not having time to dry out our tent before we left, but I wish we could've stayed longer! We will certainly come back!

This campground had space available on a weekend when others in the area were full. But maybe that's because everyone thought it was closed.
Sites are first-come, first-served. Self-register pay by cash or check at the kiosk/fee tube at the entrance.
I stayed there in a truck camper, but there were very large rigs there as well. One man with a trailer said he had trouble getting into his site, but he managed.
Yes, there is road noise during the day but not too bad. It quieted down at night.
Site surface is grass or leaf litter on dirt. Sites were slightly sloped, and some a bit uneven, but not too bad.
The lake is shallow and appeared to be mucky with brownish water, but still nice to look at. There is a boat launch and picnic area at the lakeshore.
I got one or two, sometimes even three bars on Verizon, but it was still very slow.
There is a camp host.

Great campsite with privacy. The road noise is tolerable. You’ll hear drivers hitting the rumble strips through out your stay. Cell signal is good for Verizon streamed a movie on my tablet.

The other reviews are right on so I will only add that the price has increased to $20, $10 with the senior pass. The side of the park close to the highway (upper teen numbers) often has 3 bars Verizon LTE. The Sites 20-32 have two bars. Single digit number sites have one or none. The sites with the best signal have the most noise. We are in a tent so may be more aware of the noise than if someone was in a trailer or motorhome. Even when we only had 2 bars it was fast enough to stream video.
Only 3-4 sites are open enough for good solar.
We still give 4 stars because of how clean it was plus showers and the low senior price.

Restroom with one temp push button showers. Host says temp is set to warm. Women’s side has keypad. Considerable road noise from Hwy-19 during day, quiet at night. Lots of water spigots along road. Arrived on Sunday and it was surprisingly empty for Florida in February. Speedy Verizon service. Hosts pleasant and keep it very clean.
