No shade to speak of so shoulder season use is best with no AC.

Stopped here for a night on the bike. The road was loose but manageable. I parked pretty close off the road so it got pretty busy where I was. I didn't want to go further down the road on my bike. I have street tires not dirt biking or knobbys lol!
But it was a beautiful spot regardless.

This is a good boondocking site close to Arches National Park and Moab, UT. There is a free dump and potable water at the Maverik in Moab which is about 30 minutes from this site. This was home base for us for 9 nights while we explored Moab and the numerous other things to do there and nearby. The spot we chose was about 1.5 miles from the turn and we were on a small hill, so we were very exposed. It caused issues the first few days due to high winds. This spot was a bit after the GPS coordinates listed above, but I forgot to the get the exact coordinates. The scenery is very nice. However, the road coming in is one of the worst we have encountered so far. We did not have trouble per se but did have to go very slow. The road consists of large boulders and sand. After about ¾ of a mile, the road does get a bit better. We only saw a handful of sites up to the spot we chose and most of those were already taken. After deciding to stop at this spot, we unhooked and drove down the road another 2 miles or so to the trailhead to see if there were any other spots available shielded from the wind. We did not see a lot of decent spots so decided to stick with where we were. Other reviews indicated there were some good spots even further down the road, but we weren’t willing to take the rig that far. At the very beginning of the road, there was a huge spot for big RVs, but we only saw maybe one or two sites for big rigs further down the road. There were more sites for small RVs or tents. We had no trouble at all leveling the rig at our spot. We just moved around until it was level without blocks. The sites are very far apart so we had little noise. Even though we were close to the road, we felt the road noise was not bad even on the weekend with ATVers. Internet access was good for AT&T and Verizon. Anything you may need can be found in Moab which was convenient. We did scout out some of the other boondocking spots nearby and decided this one was fine despite the road conditions. We did briefly think about moving to Dalton Well Road, but ultimately decided it wasn’t worth it. It had some decent spots though, so I would recommend checking it out as well. The Willow Springs camping area was busy when we drove though and frankly we weren’t sure what the hubbub was all about. Glad we skipped it. Overall, if we are in the area again, we would probably try to find a better spot due to road but would camp here again.

Granted it had just snowed when we visited this spot, but it worked great for us for a peaceful overnight while passing through Moab. It wasn’t plowed, however, so larger rigs might have some issues this time of year. Our dogs loved all the room to run around!

Klondike Bluffs Road is about 16 miles from Arches National Park, and just slightly further to Moab. The road its self is pretty rocky in spots, but accessible in any vehicle, you just have to go slow in spots. It is a pretty long road with many camping areas along it. The first 8 big spots that can fit RVs got good cell reception, after that the reception got spotty. These spots were in the first 2 miles of the road, before the Klondike Bluff trail system pull off.
There are no amenities here of any kind. We filled our water tank with our 5 gallon jug that we filled every time we passed Arches National Park. There is a awesome Mountain Bike/Off Road trail system right here consisting of 57 miles of different skill level trails.
From here you could reach numerous bike trail systems, Arches NP, Colorado River, or Moab in 20 minutes. Dead Horse SP, Green River, and Canyonlands NP Island in the Sky region is about 40 minutes away.
There is so much to due in this area. We did something different everyday and there is still so much to see and do. The only reason why we left is because it's getting cold this time of year. 19 degrees at night got us on the move again.

We stayed here for 2 nights while visiting Arches NP and Moab. It was a rocky ride for the first mile or so but the road became more graded as we drove to our site. Great basecamp for exploring Moab and the Arches! The only downside was how dusty it was at our site since we were so close to the road.

We enjoyed our stay here. The other reviews seem to cover all the details so I won't rehash anything. I posted a link to a YouTube video of our spot in the blog section. Some traffic and dust from inconsiderate people who don't slow down on the road. I try to slow down my Jeep by campsites and people walking/running/biking on the road.

Spent a long weekend here in what was probably the 6th-7th site past the turn for the trailhead - we were right across the road from some old ruins (someone posted they may have been from an old movie set?). Am kicking myself for not taking pictures of the campsite itself, but did get a few of the views from the campsite - which were very nice. Had 3-4 bars 4G Verizon pretty consistently from our site. We were two RV's/campers and two tents - and this site could have easily accommodated several more. Nearest campsites were a good distance - so it was pretty silent the entire time we were there. Windy one day (expect some dust to creep in out here), but got perfectly still when the sun set. And the stars & views of the Milky Way were super. Could ride our bikes right from the campsite to the trailhead for the Klondike Bluffs trails. Not too far from downtown, either. As someone said - the first 1/10 to 1/4 mile of road from 191 were a bit rough, but otherwise, aside from a few rocks, easy to navigate with our 25' trailer. They were even grading the road again on the day we left - so the drive out was even smoother.

I didn't have very good reception from my site with my AT&T Mobley - it cut in and out, but the other gal in the same site had great reception with Verizon. I had no problem from my friends' site (three closer to the highway).
