Highway 12 leaves Crested Butte through a small neighborhood before ascending to the mountains, this neighborhood has speed-decreasing barriers that will make pulling a large rig difficult through the area. Please maintain the posted 15mph through Crested Butte. The highway to these campsites has a 50 foot length limit, please exercise caution. It begins as a two land asphalt road and then alternates into maintained dirt/gravel and back to asphalt. There are guardrails over drop-offs.
Kebler Pass Road is gravel road is passable for 2 wheel drive, low-clearance vehicles from approximately late May to early November. It’s closed seasonally each winter when the snow makes the road impassable. It has quite a few sharp turns and, depending on the season, can be very washboard.
Crossing the spillway of the lake requires driving over a one lane metal bridge that has a sharp turn on the uphill side. This may limit the size rig one can take up the pass.
The road spur to this campsite is very rutted and should be taken slowly. It is at a steep down grade that may be difficult for most rigs. The site itself is small and not level. It is on a turn on Kebler Pass road which will increase road noise but is within walking distance of the lake.
The site has wonderful views of East Beckwith Mountain the the surrounding valley.
There is no cellular coverage in the area.

The road in was trenched and rough, but only 100 feet of it was bad. Nice quite place Trail across the street.
