We only had one night here so we visited the NP only since that was our goal, and having a late 2p check out helped us explore again the next morning. Level and wide sites are always a benefit.
My only con would be it is quite dark at night, which is fantastic and preferred for everything except a late arrival-not a place I would want to navigate backing in to in the dark!

This Campground was wonderful. It was very easy to get to right off the freeway a few miles, It is in the middle of the Indiana Dunes National Park. Our campsite was fantastic! It was close to the nature center and easy access to hikes. Definitely do the Three Dunes Challenge. The park is wonderfully cared for. They are working very hard to re-establish native plant species. If you are a Beach family, the beach is fabulous. Can walk from the campground or drive. Either way get there early as it is very busy during the summer season.

The campground is good, not real clean. The restrooms are not kept clean. The showers are not cleaned. The temp of the showers are sometimes cold or extremely hot. Several were out of order. The sinks are filthy.

Parking our 30 foot trailer was no problem however we did notice that there were other sites where pulling in and out might’ve been more challenging. The facilities were really well-maintained. The bathrooms were very clean. The showers were also well-maintained. The campground is close to Indiana dunes with .5-.6 mile trails leading to the beach area.

Really nice seemingly well-maintained state park campgrpund, probably the best one that we have stayed at. Boked at last minute a few days prior to Memorial Day weekend - we settled for staying one night since not being able to book a site for two. We came prepared with empty gray and black tanks along with having suffiicient fresh water for 3 or so days. Nice near-level concrete pad with paved double-wide approach. Since warm afternoon into the evening, was really nice having the A/Cs working - 15A, 30A, and 50A at the pedestal. Sites are nicely spaced with adjacent neighbors not crammed alongside! Beach was nice with trails to/from the campground.

This State campground is on the west shore of the magnificent Michigan lake. The Park is part of a broader area known the Indiana Dunes National Park a stunning natural reserve along the southern shore of Lake Michigan. We stayed there for two nights. Too short to really explore the area, but enough for a stay without water and sewer at the site. The campground and our site were beautiful nicely shaded, fairly spacious and leveled. Our site 93 was one of the best. I was very excited that there was a hiking trail right from our campground: Trail number 4 described as moderate and only of a mile. We have a video about this campground on our YouTube channel - Summertime RV Rovers. It is called "Lake Michigan West Shore RV Trip. Part 1: Indiana Dunes State Park."

Been to 30 states so far, but this has been the best State Park. Beautiful park, big spots, short walk to the beach which is gorgeous. Place is a must stay!

Stayed here for two nights in September. Campground was nice and the facilities were clean. Electric hookups at the site and then there water stations to fill near the entrance. It is a short 10-15min hike to the beach. It’s also only a quick 10min drive to any nearby stores to get anything you need. We will definitely stay here again.

Great walk to the beach, with a great restaurant and more casual diner window, plus convenience store, all in the large building on the beachfront. The sand dune hikes are fabulous! Look up the 3 Dune Challenge, I had a blast with it!

We stayed here for a few nights on the 4th of July and it was a great campground. Very clean facilities, easy to access fill station on your way in and dump station on your way out. Our only complaint would be that they don't have a campground entrance separate from the park, so if you leave the park you have to wait in line with everyone trying to get in. It was a holiday weekend and we saw this line as long as two hours on the 4th, but on weekends it got long too.
Also, cell service here is almost non-existent on both Verizon and AT&T.

In season, tics are a serious issue. Lyme disease isn’t something to mess with. Got a tic bite here and it was a near thing to not get a major case of Lyme disease.
