Pretty views and quiet when camped up the hill. Be advised that crossing over the cattle guard on the way in is impossible if you don’t have a lot of ground clearance. Verizon cell service was ok.

We stayed between the cattlegaurd and the highway. BIG wash ditch before the cattlegaurd is too steep for our 38ft fifthwheel.
Google Maps says to go further west and turn around coming from Vegas but there is a crossover road to get you into this area.

We stopped at very first pull out after cattle guard because it was dark and not positive how rutted the road was. Biked up further in AM. If we stop here again, I’d take the one 1/4 mile up on right that other reviewer mentions. Just that much further from road. We are in 20’ long Promaster with an extra 5’ of dirt bike carrier off hitch. Nice and level. Easy turnaround.

A little steep getting over the cattle guard but RVs with moderate clearance should be ok (not for those with low clearance). Sites are along the road heading south away from the Hwy so go the distance you want to minimize road noise. Woke up to complete silence in the morning. It was sweet after days in RV parks near main roads and freeways.

Good quiet night. All alone in a large turnaround a quarter mile from the highway with beautiful landscape. Good Verizon signal no highway noise. Couldn’t be happier.

Good place to spend one night. Cross the cattle guard and there are two areas on the left that will accommodate a larger rig. These areas are close to the highway so there is some noise. If you drive about a half mile up the gravel road to the power lines there is enough room for two larger rigs. We were the only ones staying there and only saw one SUV drive past during our overnight stay. The gravel road is good and both ATT and Verizon had service.

This is a well marked turnoff onto Forest Road 553 on the south side of US-95 (there was a sign saying “forest Road” before the turn). There is a medium sized gravel lot on the right side just after turning onto the road and a smaller pullout on the left side just beyond a small dry wash and cattle guard.
The dry wash may be a bit too deep/steep to negotiate with longer trailers so it may be best to stick to the first spot.
The spot beyond the cattle guard is a bit quieter as it’s further from the headlights and road noise of US-95.
I didn’t venture any further up the road so I don’t know if there are more pullouts further in.
Got in past the cattle guard and turned around easily with a 19’ Airstream.
