Stayed one night on our way to the west coast. The lake was all dried up in early September and there were lots of flies & mosquitos but other than that it was great! the pit toilet was clean. stars were incredible! all other reviews are accurate about the road, but easy to handle.

Camped here in early Sep. reviews are all accurate with the exception of flies. Maybe it was the time of year, but Swarms of flies pretty much all day. Mosquitos at night. Wear your longs or have big spray. Also, obvious that horses have stayed here.

Great place to dry camp. Quiet clean and there is a pit toilet. ( Lots of sand inside but clean otherwise)
When you get to the steel bridge you are there. Was warm but cooled off nicely.

3 mile dirt road to get there, and with washboards I had to go 10-20mph, but worth it. I had the place to myself, with ample room for a 39 ft 5th wheel (55ft combined vehicle length), and would’ve still had room if there were other people camping there. Sadly no water there this time of year, though.

As others have stated, the first half of the road is rutted, mid-size bumps, kind of soft. Then once your on the road to the campground, it’s a bit washboard. But nothing a rig can’t handle. I stayed at the large gravel area next to the pit toilets. It was empty save me and the wildlife. Very quite and serene. The sky at night is awash with stars.
Unfortunately, there is no water left in the streams or small lake as far as I can see. Just dried weeds. Seems to be norm these days.

Nice Boondocking site for the night. I don’t have anything to add to what’s already been stated previously. Yes, the road is a little rough and washboard but not terrible. I usually got my 26 foot class C in here. I’ll add a few photos.

It’s great for a stop just for overnight and get some sleep. I wouldn’t recommend just staying there for site seeing. There’s really not much there besides a gravel parking area and pit toilet. The flies bite! The star were beautiful. The bathroom is cleanish and there was toilet paper. Road going is washboard, but manageable.

4 miles off a paved road. Gravel and washboard in some parts; just take your time. We're self-contained so didn't bother with the pit toilet. Loved it.

The camping area was easy to find and access. We came in later on Christmas Eve and had the area to ourselves. It was level and quiet and the toilet was clean and stocked with toilet paper.
We had a lovely Christmas morning walk with the dogs before heading out.
