As everyone stated, just a flat spot off the road. Quiet enough, a few other campers, seemed safe enough. Several miles from Yuma. Nothing you would want to hang out at. Some trash, some pretty old rigs sitting around.

The location was ok for a short stay to visit the area. Not a lot of room for multiple rigs to distance especially to run generators. Several of the people have been there for an extended time. I would recommend going slightly further in where there is another open flat area and at least be out of view of the road. The area is surrounded by large scale farming which creates a lot of traffic with trucks and farm machinery. It can also be very dusty when the wind is blowing.

Oops! Had to grab a spot right at sunset. There was an opening right next to a private dwelling. I felt bad, but noone bothered me. It was easy to find.

When you round the last curve in the road the entrance is on the right at a single lane concrete bridge over the flowing canels you see. if you are much over 9 ft wide be careful..:) this is a gravel road so no issue with traction.
On the map is shows up a "Kool Corner.."
when you turn down across bridge you come to the spillway/dam on the canal on your right and look for the right the immediate left.. for the road heading up to the top of the camping area. we stayed off to the left down by the gate beside the revine.
The area is quiet at night for the most part unless the folks in the gate
are there,, music, shooting guns out back etc.
you are about 20 mins from yuma proper. if you need water go past the two places at the stoplight you turn between the gas stations and head up on bus 8 toward town and see water on your right. The county recycling place is down on 3rd street past the water place as well.. when you cross the scale just let them know you have recycling.. you can see how much you weight as well !!
we drove around the lake and through the Yuma proving grounds area..
OTA TV was decent with ABC, NBC and some other local stuff.
cell data was up and down. My ATT hotspot would drop signal at times.. it seem to be better on the NE side of the RV.. the tmobile was 30 megs down to 0 megs down. :)
there was some 7 other campers in the area.. one couple would make a fire in the low spot at night and invite us all to come.. it was nice way to connect with some other.. there was a couple of van campers from older to younger ladies.

Easy to get to in our 40 MH, which is saying a lot. Hard packed gravel, we had a nice level site. It was mostly quiet except for a domestic dispute at 2a outside our RV - they only stayed one night luckily. Typical genny runners throughout the day/eve. We didn't mind the crop dusters, it wasn't every night and they were quite entertaining - what a skill! The 4x4 traffic was to be expected. We only stayed a few days then moved on to Mittry Lake. Verizon 2 bars on cell, mifi 5 bars boosted.
Water vending throughout Yuma at gas stations and Walmart - 5 gallons/$1.
This area is also referred to as Kool Corner on some sites.
Location is about 30 minutes from most things in Yuma.
RT would stay here again
