Quick overnight stop, arrived late and office door was open to allow to register for vacant spots if you haven’t reserved. Cleanest campground shower I’ve been in, in a long time. The only negative is the nearby train track but really didn’t bother us.

Everything worked, power water sewer. Office closed when we arrived and our site tag and receipt in lobby.
Over charged $4 and they made it right. Lots of permanent campers there but peaceful. All good for one night.

I only stayed here for one night and didn’t use the facilities, but it was perfect for what we needed. Full hook ups at the sites and level specious spots.

For us, Gem State was a quick overnight between OR and City of Rocks and worked fine for our needs. It’s a pretty typical commercial CG with lots of long-term campers, but they offer large, level, pull-throughs for short-term stays. The staff is nice, town (groceries, gas, etc) is close, and our night was pretty quiet (one neighbor circled the park on his trike for a while, but that was the worst of it). While the CG was clean, the lot is a mix of dirt and grass, and overall it feels a little dated/run down. Their nightly rate is $37.80 with Good Sams.

It was clean and well organized. Lots of shade. Laundry room was excellent!! Clean floors, washers and dryers. We were very appreciative of finding this 'gem'. Power was very good and reliable. I was surprised when I heard a train off in the distance, because we didn't hear it at all when in the rv.
Looks like a nice little playground for the kids.
Staff is incredibly efficient and helpful. Would definitely stay here again!

Although staff is very friendly and nice, the park itself is old and dated
