The James M Robb-Colorado River State Park was a wonderful spot to stop after a long day on the road! Our pull-through site was nice, level and featured a covered picnic area, a raked gravel common area, metal fire-pit and 50A FHU! Staff was very friendly and everything was spotless!

Great views. Lake and river. Sites level and paved. Full hookups and less offered. We took a electric only because they were shutting the water off for cold weather forecast. Bad part was restrooms and showers. Unheated, not very clean, and 4 quarters for 4 mins of water. 1st minute is cold.

This is a beautifully laid out campground beside lakes and the Colorado River. It was very clean and spacious. The shower and laundry facilities are large and very well kept. We were in group camping beside the Corn Lake. We had trees and a beautiful view of the lake and canyon walls. It was an oasis for our travel.

We grabbed spot 17 which was great. Water and 30 amps were perfect. We grabbed dinner at the Mexican restaurant across the street (El Tapatio) which wasn’t very good sadly. I’d stay again. Wish we’d had better weather but rain and fog limited what must be a great vista normally.

$28 for campsite

Plus $1 if you want a 4 minute shower, which is just long enough for the water to shut off, just when you get about half the shampoo of your head.

We really loved our stay here. The sites are very large and there are a lot of tall grasses and trees throughout the park which provide a sense of privacy. The campground is located just down the street from Colorado National Monument so it's a fantastic place to use as a base for exploring that park. In the other direction, there's the large city of Grand Junction where you can find all your typical city conveniences, and just beyond Grand Junction is the town of Palisade, home to several very good wineries. Plus, the park itself is very nice, featuring a waterfront location and access to a significant bike trail system.
Other than some aggravation dealing with making a change to our reservation and the unrelenting heat of summer in Grand Junction, neither of which were the fault of the park, we really enjoyed this campground. The park was lovely, the sites are exactly what we want to see, and it was in a very convenient location.

This was a great camp ground for exploring the Colorado National Monument and the Dinosaur Museum. Full hookups, pull thru, and nice picnic table area at each site. The bathrooms were clean and modern. Convenient access to some nice restaurants. Walking trails along the water, easy and many were paved.
We didn't notice highway noise, but the check in station was just on the other side of some small trees and the light bothered DW.
There is an extra $7 per vehicle, which includes motor homes, tow vehicles and toads, so it was actually $28 + $7 for our motorhome and another $7 for the car. This is common to all Colorado state parks, and we are finding it is a common practice in many states.

This is a gorgeous state park with native grasses and plants all over sites with trees and grass that my 12 year old Labrador loved. It is very convenient to Colorado National Monument, the Grand Mesa and Grand Junction. There are 2 little lakes but we were told to keep our dog away due to e coli. There is I70 road noise, some train noise and some small airplane noise. The RV site itself was narrow. We had a pull through and the table shade was so close to the pad that we could not put our awning completely out. There is a tent pad area on the other side of the table and table shade so space for our RV and awning was squeezed tight. Seems they could have put the tent pads to the side of the table to allow for more room on the pad. In fact about half of the campers around us were tent campers and we were in the RV section. There is a very nice concrete paved trail accessible from one of the group campsite areas that goes to the Visitor center and Fruita community hospital called Little Salt Wash Trail. We took our dog to the Snook's Bottom Open Space, just up Highway 340 on the other side of the Colorado River. This place was really nice - people were low key about him swimming and there were many walking/running trails in this space.
