Overall Rating

This USFS road is only 1.2 miles east of the intersection of 89A and 67 near Jacob Lake Campground. Therefore, it is an excellent place to camp when Jacob Lake Campground closes for the winter which is what I did. At the intersection there is a restaurant, bakery, snack shop, gas and I even believe a hotel. The road is not well marked, but is very level with just a few rocks poking up here and there. I only traveled 0.3 miles down the road 482 and there were three pull off sites for that length with rock fire rings.
