We found a little meadow on the left and backed into the trees a little for shade. Only 2 other campers over 4th of July holiday weekend and very spread apart. My only complaint about this area is the flies! I have never seen anything like this before. It was so bad we drove into Page to buy a screened canopy then it was much more pleasant. Stayed at 36.74479, 112.18851

Strangely we seem to have the forest to ourselves. Great campsite.

Stayed closer to 89A than coordinates for site. Plenty of space in meadows for big rigs or camps all along road. Cell service was kick ass. Had great data rate with T-Mobile. Had a good 10Mbps.
Stayed here in 36 foot fifthwheel toy hauler

Forest road 247 is across the street from FR205. About a half mile in there is a large open field with multiple places to camp. The road is in excellent condition, very flat. Entering 247 from the paved road is tricky but doable with any vehicle if you creep in slowly. The large open field is surely paradise on earth. I stayed during the week starting on May 22, 2022. I had the entire area by myself, but I would imagine that people who know about this spot will come on the weekends. Jacob Lake is 3 miles away and I went there daily to dump my trash in the dumpsters in the area where the cabins/Inn are, or you can also go into the campgrounds to find dumpsters. There is a small store with necessities, a restaurant, gas station and of course the Inn and cabins. The lowest temperature was 24 degrees during my stay. In case you didn't know, like me, there was a forest fire there 2 years ago. In and around my camp you could see the black fire marks on the bottom of trees, and all the vegetation on the ground was eliminated, except for grass. You can strangely see very far into the forest due to all the ground fuel being consumed. The forest was absolutely extraordinary to see and hike around in, so don't let the fire discourage you from visiting. There were coyotes close by one night barking very loudly, but I knew what was happening, so I wasn't startled. Plus, I know Kung Fu so there's that. It really was an amazing nature experience that I will certainly come back too. I've added some photos to give you a better idea of what it's like.

Good quiet place to stay in Kaibab National Forest. Visited mid May and Jacob Lake was too crowded for us. We found a large clearing and I was able to connect easily and work remotely. Road was in very good condition, lots of potential sites. Pretty windy on second day, that was the main drawback.
