Would be a higher rated spot without all of the atvs & side by sides speeding around kicking up dirt.
Had cell reception with visible & a signal booster at the gps pin but nowhere else in the little bit that I explored.

Nice view, but waaayyy too many ATVs. Non-stop ATV all day long, making donuts and dust right beside our camp spot. Never again.

Once up top OHV’s were plentiful. Later we went to central city. The GPS sent us back a different way, which looked impassible, the GPS was really confused. I just turned it off and went back to I-70 to the Fall River exit to get back. Verizon phone service only, bad coverage up there.

Does York Gulch seem like a great spot super close to Denver? Yeah, that's what I thought too. Totally overrun with ATVs, recreational shooters, "residents" (people live here?) with chainsaws and pickup trucks, barking dogs at night, you name it. So many gun shots and OHVs during the day, if you close your eyes, you'd swear you were in Beirut, not CO. Do yourself a favor and keep driving at least to Jones Pass, if not further.

I was coming from the north and Google took me the worst way possible and once I got to the spot I was desperate to leave. Google then took me the wrong way down, not down York gulch road but some other road.
Just be careful. And go very early. Gets dark quick and the roads can get very confused.

“Nice Dispersed Camping - No cell coverage Verizon”
Reviewed 9/3/2019
I needed cell coverage for work but didn't have any Verizon coverage and I was using a cell booster. Road is pretty steep at times getting to the site.

5th wheels or the largest I would say class c would be good. We have class A and man did it struggle. It is super steep to get here. grounds are pretty uneven. Other then that cool spot like the others stated above.

Nice views of the mountains, but constant loud Atv traffic during the day and no respect for campers. Otherwise quiet at night, some fire rings, elevation of 9450 feet. Not too many flat spots..

There was an RV also there, but we couldn't see them from our campsite. Occasionally cars/OHVs drive by and it is close to a residential area so there were a few dog barks. Other than that, a pretty and peaceful place to camp.
