Stopping in September the bugs were not bad - but early in the year they likely would be. This is a good campground for those looking for big lots and some quiet time.
Hats off to the staff here as well.

5 stars. Spacious sites, most have electricity. Large shade trees, great camp hosts, good clean bath/shower houses.

This is a super nice COE campground with spacious sites behind the Ft Peck Dam. The dump and water are located a short distance up the road. The showers are clean and plenty of hot water, the site was level and picnic table clean. The only negative is that getting online to reserve requires you either pick blind, or talk the camp host at the gate into letting you drive through first and locate a free site, with a fading cell signal the further you drive from the gate. We finally procured a campground map, sat at point of strongest signal and marked the available sites, drove the loops, selected one, returned to the front to secure it online. Our site had better Verizon signal, two bars, and was short walk across to the showers.

Campground is nice and level. The only negative I see is the showers are small and lack privacy (in the tent area). Camp hosts were very nice and warned us of an upcoming storm. Nice swimming beach only a mile away.

We camped at the Army Corps of Engineers Downstream Campground at site #14 in late June for two nights. Our nightly rate of $12.50 is the Senior Lifetime Pass price. This campground is well maintained and the camp hosts were very helpful. The campground has a modern bath house with free hot showers, dump station, water, trash receptacles, and most sites have electric hookup. Each campsite has a fire ring and table. We received 4-bars on Verizon without a booster.

The sites are good sized and the lanes are straight and level. Bathrooms are okay.
I wouldn’t stay here again due to the cottonwood pollen.

Sites were level, and shaded. My only issue was the bathroom and showers could have been cleaner. Very nice walking trails.

As with most we have seen, this army corp of engineers campground was a great stop. The rate above is discounted because of national park pass.

Larger COE campground that’s reservation only, however you can make your reservation at recreation.gov with no fees. Sites are electric only. There is a booth at the front to provide assistance in finding a site that’s suitable for your stay. We were there for an overnight, so our criteria was level, easy access and near a bathhouse, which we were able to get with no problem. Campsites are long, paved, and level with a picnic table and fire ring. Grass and trees provide shade with a fair separation of sites. The shower/bathhouse had four separate showers on one side of the building with the restrooms on the opposite side. The building was very clean and appeared to be fairly new. The campground was also fairly quiet in spite of being nearly full on a Sunday night. Would definitely return.

There is no water at the sites so fill up before you park, there are a few spigots around the campground. That is probably my only complaint, there should be more water spigots closer to the camping sites. Fort Peck reservoir is huge with great fishing and a great visitor center, its a must see.
